Elisa's Daily ScoopHappy Easter!!Good morning to you and Happy Easter! I couldn't have asked for a more lovely day to wake up to on Easter Sunday! Well, the Easter Bunny left a trail of Easter Eggs outside in our yard last night! The kids were barely dressed and rushed outside to see who could find more! Kelsey was a little too overly concerned about "who" left the eggs. I kept saying the Easter Bunny left the Eggs and that was getting her increasingly agitated since she insisted "I know there is no such thing as the Easter Bunny!" Even Liberty got into the action by finding her tennis ball! Going to have another active day... After getting dressed, we are going to head to mass. We'll have to make a b-line to the bakery following mass to get Italian pastries and cookies since I'm sure it's going to be quite crowded! Later this afternoon, we are going to spend the day with Danielle and Carlo and their boys at Carlo's mom's house in Queens. I am in charge of bringing dessert - hence the bakery stop. Nancy, or Nonna, as everyone calls her, is an AMAZING cook! I'll be taking lots of pictures of the Dee-lish food she has prepared. She has a full menu which will include Chicken Francese and pasta as well as some other tasty delights for the carnivores in the crowd! Unlike Tanya, I will be enjoying a fairly mellow and relaxing day. I'm sending my dear Cuz lots of energy to get through her day!! I'd like to wish you a day filled with joy and peace!! -E xoxo Easter is meant to be a symbol of hope, renewal, and new life. | Tanya's Daily ScoopIt's Easter!!!For starters I'll begin by wishing you a Happy Easter Sunday! My day is beginning while most of you (I hope) are still sleeping soundly. Easters at our house for the 10 past years have been starting in the wee hours of the morning, waking up at 2am to make sure that we are on the road in time to get the kids to their sunrise service performances with the International Peace Choir - and usually on barely enough sleep to get me through the day. The kids have a 4:30am call time to perform this year at the Easter Sunrise Service for Forest Lawn, which they have been rehearsing long and hard for. And which Dominic will be having a solo in. On our "morning" commute, I figured that we would leave a bit earlier than necessary and go pick up some coffees and vegan donuts! I heard about a donut shop in Huntington Beach that is 24hrs and that carries/makes vegan donuts, and we've yet to go there. And since we don't eat donuts on a regular occasion, I figured it's Easter - so what better a day to indulge and have some donuts! Somehow I'm gonna have to squeeze in day 5 of my 100 Day Fitness Challenge and bang out my Jumping Jacks, Push Ups, and Sit Ups for the day - No breaks...even for Holidays! After the performance and service, we will head into Los Angeles for an Easter breakfast, before coming back home to the rest of the family who will probably just barely be waking up! Then will come an Easter Egg Hunt, a visit by the Easter Bunny, Family Easter Pictures, and then a visit to the Irvine Spectrum for a team event at playing Scavenger Hunt. Hopefully I'm not dragging my feet by this time of the day. Finally on the way home we'll make a quick stop at Whole Foods and then all have a lovely Ravioli dinner at home. Nom nom nom Did I mention how much I love Raviolis? I won't mention much about yesterday as I have posted a review about the event we attended - Wonder Con in Anaheim, California. Read about it and see all of the wild pictures HERE Hope you have a wonderful day and get to share it with the people who you love! Meet me back here tomorrow and find out if and how I manage to survive my 20+ hour day! Peace, Joy, and Love, -T |
