Elisa's Daily ScoopShoppin' the Day AwayI promised you some photos - so here they are! I went out last night with Denise - we decided to turn the evening into a Girls' night. We had a fun evening at Season's 52 in Garden City. Denise is a vegetarian as well so we shared the hummus platter which consisted of two kinds - edamame and roasted red pepper hummus. We both had flatbreads for our main - her's was with lobster and mozzarella and mine was roasted tomato and mozzarella. Shopping, Shopping, Shopping... After checking the weather report last week for Yellowstone, (which I reported on here on my blog), the temps in late April can be as low as 22 degrees, going up only to the mid-40's. Additionally, there is still snow and ice on the ground as well throughout the parks. I realized I needed to get a good pair of all weather walking shoes for me and each of the girls. I found these really cute ones at L.L. Bean. Considering how fast the kids grow, they both barely got through the NY Winter fitting into their boots. Now, I need to buy them new ones and I'm taking bets that they will grow out by next Winter :-( I thought these were adorable from L.L. Bean as well - I hope I guessed right on the sizes for each girl. I ordered these today so I should have plenty of time to return them if they need to be exchanged or returned. I accessed L.L. Bean through Ebates, so I earned an extra 2% on my purchase! Click on the Ebates icon below to sign up if you would like to earn money when you shop! I have a few other shopping stops to make - first, a trip to Home Depot to get a number of supplies for Day 2 on Tuesday with Lisa to fix up my Hamptons house. Then I'm off to pick up Denise yet again so we could run a few errands for a few last minute things we need for the Father-Daughter Dance, which takes place in two weeks. The theme this year is "Red Carpet." The color palette is red, gold and black and there will be lots of "Hollywood" stars decorating the room. I think the girls are going to LOVE that there is a selfie photo booth there as well!! After our errands, we'll head back to Denise's where we are going to wrap up 250 forks, spoons and knives in napkins with red, gold and black ribbons! In other exciting news - my Dad and Mom got a new puppy! I received this picture from my sister Danielle late last night and I don't even know what this little guy's name is yet!! But, he sure is a cutie!!! Well, folks - it's a gorgeous day here on Long Island and I'm heading out to get things started!! See ya back here tomorrow! -E xoxo | Tanya's Daily ScoopHere's to a Hectic Weekend! It's Saturday everyone! I'm on DAY 4 of my 100 Day Fitness Challenge. Only 96 DAYS to go! Can you believe that I've only been home less than a week? At this time last week I was still enjoying our wonderful trip the the Portugese Azores...and I can't stop thinking about it and the fabulous time that we had! Must go back!! Read about the trip details HERE And read about my FOODIE FRIDAY post which is featuring the number one restaurant on the entire island of Sao Miguel HERE Well folks, I was up bright and early today (actually it wasn't at all bright when I woke up - I woke up before the sun this morning). And it's going to be a pretty full day. Heading to Dominic's 2 classes this morning, and since there is a 1.5 hour break between the two, we are gonna hit up GREEN BLISS for a nice morning treat...pretty sure that I'm going for the WORLD'S BEST ACAI BOWL!! During the classes and in between watching Dominic workout I hope to do some trip research and to possibly check a few bookings off of my list. After the classes we'll give Dominic a chance to clean up and change, pick Cosette up and then head close to the Anaheim Convention Center for lunch at a fairly new vegan pizza joint - it'll be a surprise for the kids, since they know nothing about it! And then onto the sold out WONDER CON! The kids are pretty excited about going and this is where the rest of my day will be spent, and where I'm hoping to get some rather entertaining pictures to share!!! If all goes as planned, we should be home and winding down by 7p or 7:30p. We'll grab some take out for dinner and then attempt to hit the sack by 9p or so (which is totally unheard of for this family!) Alarms are set for a 2am wake up call for Easter morning! More on this in tomorrows SCOOP! (Keep in mind that over 80% of the time we are still awake at 2am!) As far as yesterday went, I was successful in completing everything on my to do list. Which is good, however it was super HOT out (and I'm not good in the heat), there was massive traffic everywhere I went, detours GALORE, and in completing almost each task was great frustration for one reason or another... I was ready to start pulling the hair out of my head! Happy that I don't have any bald patches this morning and that I had such successful day. The most enjoyable part of my day was spent hanging out and being silly with Chaplin while at the stables as Cosette and Jet cared for Dream and Star. Off I go, gotta go bang out 100 Push Ups, Sit Ups and Jumping Jacks before I head out. See ya all back here tomorrow and please remember to vote for us each and every day ---->>>>> ---->>>>> ---->>>>>---->>>>> -T |
