Well hellooooo FRiDaY!!!
Hopefully everyone has had a wonderful week.
And if not, then we have to do something about that!
So, as you know I'll be heading back east in a couple of weeks; and one of the things planned was to head up to Lake Winnipeasaukee, NH for a kind of mini reunion. Something that this small part of my (rather large) family has been doing to well of 25 plus years. It happens to be my father's favorite thing EVER! But if you've been following my story since at least Father's day, you'd know that my father is not a very positive role model. He's quite enjoyable to be around when he is happy and an absolute Tyrant when he's not! Apparently something took place a few days ago, some sort of drama - a fight of sorts (my aunt & grandma couldn't really go into much detail - because the Tyrant was nearby). And now he is "punishing" everyone by not coming to the Lake! Plus my poor grandma won't come if he doesn't go. What a mess! He's always complaining about how other family members are flakes and yet this is the second time in 3 years that he is flaking! Can we say HYPOCRITE!
Anyhow, I've had it. I think I'm making other plans for next summer during the Lake Week. I already know that the MLB All-Star Game is a no brainer, then maybe I'll take the kids back up to Niagara Falls and show them Toronto. Elisa seemed pretty interested in this plan... Road Trip! Road Trip! Road Trip!
Elisa and I both added new pictures to the slide show yesterday...Go take a look!
And I got Las Vegas all booked for Labor Day Weekend!
Lest any of us forget that today is Foodie Friday and I'm sure that Elisa had a delicious story in store for us! Mmmm!
Now off I go to do some writing, plan some more trips, get some exercise done, and hopefully hear some good news from Cosette's horseback riding instructor. If all is well then Cosette will do her horseback riding lesson, and I think I'll even plan for a game of tennis later tonight!
Get it. Got it? Good!
Good day everyone!! TGIF is all I have to say! Though my weekend doesn’t officially start till I get through the many to do’s on my list today. I’m actually writing this from the Ford Dealership, where my car is undergoing it’s 10,000 mile service. It’s very comfortable here except for the blaring television, making it hard to concentrate. Last night we had a little sleepover at my house with my nephews and I left all four kids sound asleep when I left. I’m anticipating a bunch of hungry kids when I arrive home! Bringing the little devils home bagels, which I’m sure they will enjoy!
Gianna starts her Cooking camp today, and I don’t know who is more excited about this - her or me! While she is at camp and the other three kids are hanging out playing, I’m going to catch up on some travel writing. First, a few finishing touches to today's Foodie Friday article about Vytopna Restaurant in Prague - a fun restaurant worth visiting if you are ever in this storybook city. I’m also going to be working on a few destination articles for both our blog and online travel sites next week which I hope you will enjoy!!
Now nothing is written in stone yet, but Tanya and I spoke about taking a road trip together next July to Niagara Falls during her East Coast summer visit. Still a lot to talk about, not to mention, a number of prior trips to finalize including my Italy trip, Tanya’s UK & Scandinavia and Iceland trips, and our Eastern European trip, to name a few!
My day is topped off with my dog Liberty's annual physical. Our wonderful vet makes house calls, so that will save me some time and energy and Liberty (who is nearly 13), some needless stress in getting there.
I hope you have some wonderful plans this weekend!!! Enjoy the sunshine!
