BRAND BALLOT'S TOP 100 MOM BLOGS FOR 2018!!
Back on Long Island Making Future Travel PlansGreetings!!! We are back on Long Island in our hometown of Garden City! My girls and I arrived home late last night - 12:30 AM to be precise. The flight from Santiago, Dominican Republic was smooth sailing. We also got to enjoy an entire half-day on Playa Dorada and enjoy the sea, sun and sand, one last time before departing. I took some more photos and even managed to film two short video from the beach. I really have so much to tell you and catch you up on since the wifi was not very strong, so it was difficult to upload photos and videos. For now, I'm going to share a few photos and 2 videos and I'll be working on a full recap of the vacation with LOTS more pictures on Elisa's Christmas in Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic- December 2018. Forgive me, as I have not added anything to this page as of yet (oops!), but I'll be working on it over the weekend with completion on Monday for your reading enjoyment on New Year's Eve (day). We got down to the beach super early yesterday to get in as much beach time as possible before heading back to New York. We had packed the night before to save time and I even requested a late check out since our flight was not until 8pm. Did I mention we stayed at SUNSCAPE PUERTO PLATA RESORT AND SPA?? Yup - an all-inclusive and boy, did we enjoy ourselves! We actually stayed in the more exclusive area of the resort, called The Sun Club, with concierge service, free wifi and a few other incredible benefits! Here is our own private pool area for our exclusive area. "Last Day Video #1" "Last Day Video #2" After the beach, we boogied to get ready and checked out and then boarded our bus back to Santiago to the airport. The kids had never been to a small airport, since most of their travel experiences have been to larger cities, so they couldn't believe how laid back everything was at an island airport. The flight was great and Kelsey and I watched Ant Man together, another Marvel movie, which I had not as yet seen. Definitely enjoyed it!! Thank goodness it was not terribly cold when we arrived back in New York, so the shock from the tropics was not too extreme lol. It was a great trip and the perfect way to spend our Christmas vacation!!! But, we still have New Year's to enjoy here on Long Island. More on our plans tomorrow. More tomorrow! -Travelin' Elisa xoxo | A Sneak Peek into 2019Hello there and HAPPY last FRIDAY of 2018 to you. Only a few more days until the NEW YEAR and then into 2019 we go... Here is a sneak peek at some of my travel plans for 2019:
So much to look forward to and my trip countdown is at the 2 week mark today and in 14 days I'll be voyaging on my first trip of 2019! I'll tell ya two things - I'm not quite ready. YIKES! But I am very excited! Now tell me who is totally stoked that this was only a three day work week? Good news is that next week is also going to be another easy peasy three day work week! Heck if it were my way every work week would only be 3 days! The only thing is that since New Year's Eve and New Year's Day are pretty much literally right upon us I have a feeling that at least next week is going to FLY by and then I'll only have 1 week before my departure and unless I get in gear ASAP (which is tough for me to even think about doing since it's Christmas week and I'm still recovering from the most amazing holiday). Well one way or another I have to be ready. I'll keep you posted. While Elisa and the girls were making there way back home yesterday we were home enjoying all of my Christmas gifts and the company of family. The kiddos took some time outside to play and practice on Mika's new hover-board. Liz came over with our little munchkin Aurora for us to love and adore. And then our family Christmas week tradition is to have game nights all week long. Last night there were 12 of us playing the new game that Santa delivered to us - Telestrations. Let me tell you right now that this game is a big winner in our household, it was tons of fun and had triggered so much laughter after each round. We really had a great time! It's definitely a game that is tons of fun for all ages and if you haven't played it yet - I highly recommend it! Not sure what game we'll be playing tonight. But we are just gonna be hanging out around here, staying home and enjoying the after Christmas glow at least for a few more days. I'll catch you back here tomorrow as we take a look back at 2018 and I share with you some of the fabulous travel locations that I had explored! I can't wait!!! Ciao 4 now, -Travelin' Tanya |
