Where to Go Wednesday "Holiday Light Show"
Howdy folks!! How's your week going so far? I can't complain so far, as I've bee very productive this week. I finished writing out all my Christmas cards and plan to get them in the mail by weeks' end.
I also managed to do a little online Christmas shopping over the past few days, chipping away at my list.
In keeping with my "Countdown to Christmas" theme each day of December, I thought for Where to Go Wednesday, I'd tell you about one of the most festive places to experience right here on Long Island.
All this month and through January 4th, The Holiday Light Spectacular at Jones Beach is back for another holiday season.
This sensational and eye catching event has over 2.5 miles of dazzling light displays - 150 in total - bringing to life a world of holiday enchantment!
Two special features this year include:
* Holiday Village
An all-new heated area with lots of activities and refreshments including picture taking with Santa, s'mores station, Christmas music and movies and more.

This attraction takes kinds on a memorable trip through the brilliant lights display throughout the Holiday Village.
This is a special event for the whole family. I can't wait to go again this year!

Here's to a terrific day!!! See ya back here tomorrow!!
WTGW - Holiday Fun!!!
It's meeee & I'm back in Southern California!
The rain greeted us yesterday and it poured all day long. For some this may be a drag, but since we love the rain, it had actually made coming back to LA not quite as harsh as the rest of our returns.
My mom picked us up from LAX and we headed back to OC in the rain.
SoCal drivers are really not at all use to driving in the rain whatsoever - so traffic was definitely a mess, but we made it back safe and sound to the warm welcomes of Brigitte, Jet, and little Chaplin (who was super excited for our return)!
Spent the afternoon handing out gifts, showing pictures and videos from our trip, and telling stories about our travels...
Then it was time to get down to business - the fridge and cabinets were empty and I had to go shopping to fill them up!
Dominic had decided to skip his class and take one more day of vacation and I decided that we should order some take out Thai food (due to the condition of the sink/dishes at dinnertime)...
Someone had neglected to do his (Andrew's) chores & there was NO WAY that I was gonna tackle a meal after my long day of traveling, especially after seeing that MESS. Ugh!
*Luckily he cleaned it all up while we were eating.
As for today, well here at Travelin' Cousins it is:
Where to Go Wednesday
And as much as I would love to still be in NYC to enjoy the Rockefeller Center Tree Lighting - which takes place TONIGHT (I was hoping to catch it while I was there, but the date changes annually)..
Here in Orange County we have the
20th Annual Nutcracker Tree Lighting in Downtown Anaheim at Center Street Promenade & Lemon Street.
Being held as an all day event, starting with Santa's Pancake Breakfast, and festivities begin held throughout the day which include: Free Kids Crafts, Free Snow Play, and Free Train Rides, Family Music Shows, an International Food Faire, and plenty of Holiday Gift Shoppes!!!
