My Saturday mornings now have a new routine (this is when I'm in town of course). The four of us (Dave B., Dominic, Cosette, and I) have breakfast at Green Bliss Cafe.
This bustling little cafe is located right in the heart of Old Town Fullerton. This is where you come to find plenty of dining options, several bars; and also some cute and quirky boutique type shoppes.
Just this year alone, we've gone to Green Bliss several times over.
But my routine actually started when I found out that a baker friend of mine over at 'Life Is Sweet Bake Shoppe' delivers her fresh and warm, ooey n' gooey (n' Vegan) Cinnamon Rolls to this establishment!
You know me and my sweet tooth!
Now once I realized this, I knew exactly where this cafe was located (having been there once before).
The first visit was just for quickie bite/lunch to go; we ordered some soup and a flatbread to share.
It wasn't all that bad, just not memorable and in all honesty it just hadn't really stood out enough on it's own for a return visit. Until...I found out that they were going to be carrying these Cinnamon Rolls!
Then we just had to go back and have been going ever since!

It actually happened like this: Dave B and I were in Mendocino and San Francisco for Memorial Day Weekend, and on our way back to the airport we were on our way to Cinnaholic (which holds the record for the absolute BEST CINNAMON ROLLS anywhere - hands down) and they happened to be closed on Mondays! YIKES!
The family, back in SoCal had already all given me their orders and were looking quite forward to me bringing back a box these delicious treats!!! GASP...
I had to call and break the news. Cosette was devastated! She had insisted that I stay up in San Francisco for an extra day, that way I could bring back the desired Cinnamon Rolls. While I would have no problem with doing that, Dave had to work on Tuesday and so we continued heading back according to the original plan.
The family, back in SoCal had already all given me their orders and were looking quite forward to me bringing back a box these delicious treats!!! GASP...

The following Saturday is when I came up with the idea to go to have a Cinnamon Roll treat at Green Bliss Cafe. We each ordered a Cinnamon Roll and a hot drink. Each of our plates draped clean, it was so good that, we had to go back for seconds...we each had 2 cinnamon rolls that morning!

And ever since that day, we have been going back whenever we could.
But the big winner for me is that I've found that instead of having a sweet treat for breakfast every time I visit, I actually now get the Acai Bowl. You have no idea how much I look forward to it all week long!
It is by far the BEST ACAI BOWL that I have ever tasted, and if you think you know of one that is better, by all means please let me know where to find it and I'll be the judge!

Dave and I have been getting the same order - Acai Bowl, and an English Breakfast tea with lemon. The kids still stick with an order of cinnamon rolls and/or scones, and something like a soy chai latte or a yummy coconut white tea (which smells like paradise and IMO is better served iced rather hot).
The Cafe also offers other breakfast and lunch items, as well as all sorts of coffee/tea drinks. They also support the local community by selling little trinkets, and handmade gift items made by local artists.
