C is for Cookie - The perfect little cafe in Reykjavik, Iceland

What exactly is C for? 

Well, since there is actually no letter C in the Icelandic alphabet. 
(Iceland itself is actually spelled 'Island' here in Iceland!) 

So here in Reykjavik C really for Cookie!


Prior to coming on our trip to Iceland, I had done all my homework and my research; made my list and checked it twice. Then found us some treats that were definitely quite nice!


Early on in our visit we had scoped out the town and located the few vegan friendly establishments.


I recalled an online recommendation for C is for Cookie for them having the best Soy Cafe Latte in town, and being noted as one of the best Lattes anywhere (soy or otherwise).

Although we had already passed a few of the locations that I had mapped out (for later meals), as soon as I spotted C is for Cookie I knew we had to stop!

We walked in and were immediately invited by the warm, quaint, and cozy atmosphere, and kind, courteous, and welcoming staff.

And on our 1st visit, we all tried a delicious selection of beautiful designed barista crafted warm drinks. Mmm so good!

I couldn't resist the desire and needed to take a peek at what vegan desserts that had to offer. Seriously expecting a cookie, maybe slice of carrot cake...instead I was happily surprised by apple pie, flapjacks (local dessert), brownies, carrot cake & chocolate chip cranberry cookies! 

Well at this point I already knew that a return visit was inevitable, but we still needed to at least try a Cookie! 
We had all enjoyed our little crispy treat, and before we had walked out the door we had each already started planning what we had our eyes on for our next visit!!! 

Of course we came back just as soon as possible within our busy schedule; we came back on a blustery late afternoon after feeding the birds a Tjornin Lake. 

Obviously coming here wasn't only our bright idea, this cafe is well loved by the locals who fill the seats, sit back and relax as they sip at their perfectly executed drinks. 
When we arrived, the cafe was full, and the only available seats left were outside in the drizzly and windy weather. Well, we took all that we could get, because there was no passing up getting our drinks and desserts! 
And once we had ordered, and I settled at an outdoor table, one of the associates had kindly offered to pull in the patio table for us. He then politely delivered our order, and we dug right in! 

Dominic and I ordered a warm piece of fresh apple pie which was totally DELISH, I had a hard time not scarfing it up without taking a breath! 
Cosette had her eye on another cookie, and another cappuccino, while Dominic had a Chai Latte, and I went with another yummy Cafe Latte. 

I definitely recommend this cute little cafe for vegans and non vegans alike. Not only do they offer drinks and desserts, but small bites as well. 

Next time I'm in Reykjavik you know where I'll be! C is for cookie and that's good enough for me!
