Fresh warm VEGAN Pierogies in Krakow, Poland

Well, lucky me!
I searched and located a few options for a vegan meal prior to my arrival to Krakow, Poland.
While I didn't want to drive myself or Elisa crazy about eating and yet I was getting a bit bored of a diet consisting of grapes, vegan protein shakes, kale popcorn, seaweed snacks, the occasional energy bar, and either Grilled Vegetables or Tomatoes for dinner...

I was so pleased to find that there was a cafe located just minutes away from the old town square and from our hotel. The restaurant was Glonojad Vegetarian Bar, and on our second nightie Krakow, Elisa ad I ventured out to find out what it was all about!
Walking out of the old city gate - St. Florian's Gate, and about a half a block, right across from The Grunwald Monument. Walking past it at first, as I couldn't imagine the cafe being so close. We quickly realized that we had past the restaurant and turned back around.
Walking in and seeing an inviting space, along with a counter for placing orders, a display case filled with fresh salads, and a separate one for the desserts!
While not everything is vegan, everything is at least vegetarian and there are plenty of vegan offerings and/or options.

Elisa and I chose a table near the window and perused the menu selections before deciding to share two dishes and that caught our eye!
We opted for the Lentil Pierogies with a tomato side salad, and a cucumber side salad, and also an order of Samosas. Ordering at the counter and then having our name called when the order was up, we had delivered the plates to our table and began to dig in...

OMG I knew that I already had a thing for pierogies - I mean come on now, how could you blame me...
Fresh doughy dumplings stuffed with warm yummies on the inside... How could you go wrong or not order this when you see it on the menu?! They turned out to be the BEST pierogies that I've ever had!

The Samosas were quite delish too - such a flavorful crispy flaky crust that was filled with a tasty mixture of potatoes, peas, and spices. They were awesome!
And between these two meals, it was quite difficult to decide which I liked better!
Elisa and I throughly enjoyed our dinner and then we were both shocked at the incredible price that our bill had come out to...both entrees, salads, plus I ordered a vegan Lassi, and she had 2 hot teas and a HUGE cookie, and it only came approx $13(USD)!!!

Amazing, and not just because of the price, but because of the food - I went back the following night to have dinner (this time solo) and to also place an order to go.
I just couldn't get enough!

You'll definitely find me back at Glonojad the next time that I'm in Krakow!
Hope to see you there!
