This favorite vegan eatery that has several locations throughout NYC has really found a place close to my heart, and the Upper West Side, Columbus Avenue location has recently skyrocketed to the top of my list.
Recently having gone there for Sunday Brunch and I've gotta tell you that they knocked my socks off!
Staying in NYC and knowing good food wherever I go, I'm definitely considered a Critic by anyone who knows me. So this is just to set the course for you, that I had just come off of several days of some pretty darn good eats!!
I made our reservations ahead of time, and as we arrived we were immediately brought to our table and sat. The service here was welcoming, but not overly attentive or friendly & neither was it expected to be.
This location however was new to us, as they had recently moved from a few blocks down the street. And personally I preferred this space and decor over the previous location that wasn't quite as spacious or upscale.
I'm a sucker for raviolis, and luckily so was everyone at the table, because this was definitely going to be the appetizer of choice! I needed no time whatsoever to make this decision.
When the time came to place out order, we had a range of dishes from breakfast items, to lunch and dinner selections. I guess that's what brunch is for..
The first dish up was of course the delectable Mushroom Raviolis! I ordered 2 of these appetizers and the four of us shared. After the very first bite I knew it was a mistake not to each have our own order!
They were that GOOD!
We had been lucky enough to order and eat raviolis at several restaurants over the past few days, and these were the BEST. Hands Down and no questions asked!
In fact, these were some of the best raviolis that we have ever had! I know it's crazy and it saying a lot - but I was in love!
I really hope that these dear morsels are on that menu forever.
I wish that they would offer them in an entree size order, and even better that the recipe was made available to me! Pretty please..with a cherry on top!!!
Cosette & Dave had both ordered the Tofu Benedict - marinated tofu, ‘ham’, grilled asparagus, roasted potatoes, and hollandaise sauce served over an English Muffin, and of course there was my French Toast with fresh berries, tempeh bacon, maple syrup!
(As you know - I luv Maple Syrup!)
I knew it from my first bite, that until I scraped the plate clean, I was going to be a very happy camper!
As usual we had each shared bites of each other's orders, to get an idea of the other plates and everything was good.
Everything was quite good, but mine was the best!
Again the server had mentioned that my order was his favorite dessert and then went ahead to say that our table of orders was his dream dessert table!
After years of searching I had eventually/finally found my favorite Vegan Tiramisu in Salt Lake City of all places!
Now here I was crossing my fingers that this version was going to be worth my time and calories!
Upon delivery it was looking pretty good, but I've been burned in the past and have learned that looks can be deceiving! I go in...
With a fitting name, you should know that Blossom really puts the Bloom on flavor!
