It's a Bird. It's a Plane. It's was a Food Truck.
Now it's a Restaurant!
What began as a healthy food truck option here in Orange County has now grown to so much more!
While I never did seem to find a good time to seek out the where-a-bouts of the truck;
Now, I am always finding a way to get over to the “kitchen”.
The service is attentive and knowledgeable, and I find myself often wishing that certain "seasonal" items would remain as permanent fixtures of the menu, but in order to work on and try the new items I guess you've gotta make some room and move some things off.
But you can't blame a girl for wishing!
Keeping it fresh with locally sourced produce and working with a few local artisans for a couple of items on their menu:
*Cha Cha's seasonal Kombutcha on Tap
*The Cinnamon Rolls from Life is Sweet Bake Shoppe - that you’ve heard me talk so much about!
(From the Cinnamon Rolls that we grab weekly from Green Bliss to the custom ordered cakes that we indulge in as often as possible!)
Here's a fun FYI - The history and connection between the two is actually quite interesting; Robyn (owner of Life is Sweet Bake Shoppe) started out by working on the Seabirds Food Truck!
Keeping it all with the vegan and local community! That's definitely some great vegan synergy!
While they didn’t win the "race", it was still great exposure and a wonderful opportunity!
Definitely what I’d consider being the springboard for them opening this awesome little find!
Located at the LAB (the anti-mall) in Costa Mesa, they are a pet friendly, vegan establishment.
when I asked which pie was suggested, the sweet server had sold us on the blueberry pie - and WOW was I happy with that suggestion! Down to the last crumb. It was one of the best tasting blueberry pies that I’ve ever had! Mmmm it was GOOD!
But the food, this is where it all begins...Check out these super delicious dishes!!!
Also serving Brunch - the one meal that I've yet to go and try - but you know that I'll be squeezing it into my schedule in no time!
Can't go wrong with a meal at Seabirds, especially when you know that it's one that fills you with wholesome energy and goodness!
EAT WELL,
-T
