We are going back to April of 2011, and I'm taking you to Las Vegas!
She actually decided to come with us on this particular trip, and if you know my family - then you know how rare it is to get any of them to go anywhere. Making this trip to Vegas was kinda special...
We had our schedule all prepared - thanks to me!
All tickets bought and paid for...the only thing was that the show we were going to had a age requirement (as do most of the shows and lots of the restaurants in Las Vegas). And on one particular night we were going to see Penn & Teller.
But you had to be at least 12 years old (since then the age restriction has been lowered to 5 years old), and my little Cosette was still only 10yrs.
And still not too funny yet either...
Well before the show, we had all went to dinner at the Wynn Buffet. The price for adults is $39.99 for and $19.99 for children ages 3-8 years old - which I find highly ridiculous - my kids have healthy appetites, but a child does not have the appetite of an adult at age 9!!!
I happen to have the same bone to pick with Disney and all these other companies that charge you adult admission for your child. It's plain old RIDICULOUS!
Little did I know that in a 10 year olds mind when you pretend to be an older or a younger age to them it's more of a height thing, and Cosette who happened to be wearing a dress was walking around with bent knees to look shorter - and looking all SQUATTY!
Of course I could't say anything...yet. But boy how the rest of us wanted to laugh at the situation so badly! And this is a throwback story that I will never forgot. Hope you got a laugh out of it...or at least a giggle.
