Are you curious about walking amongst 5,000 professionally carved/sculpted pumpkins?

To get you into the mood of this holiday season and add a little Halloween to your life, you might be interested in getting tickets for Rise of the Jack O' Lanterns.

Whether you are in New York, Los Angeles, or San Diego, timed tickets are sold for this popular once a year event, and you'll be quite thankful that they limit the entries and you aren't walking amongst a mob scene, as it tends to get crowded enough anyhow.

I will tell you first hand that it's definitely a pretty cool thing to do and something totally worth checking out!

Expect for it to be pretty dark on the 1/3 mile trail. But understand that this is so each of the Pumpkins can glow ever so perfectly; the only thing this didn't help was me seeing my camera settings!
I couldn't see a thing! And I didn't bring a flash light. Ugh...

Needless to say that capturing some of these unique settings was definitely a bit frustrating.

What was however rather exciting for all, is that the event also has a LIVE demonstration table with an artist at work, showing step by step exactly how the sculptures go about carving these pumpkins.

"Go see carving stars like Jon Neill, star of Halloween Wars on the Food Network, carve live at The RISE! Live carve artists vary by date and location."

With the several different themed sections, and each so creatively designed. Every last pumpkin had been carefully planned out with incredible artistic designs that were perfectly carved into them. Such detail, it was unbelievable. It was a sight like none other!

From video game themed pumpkins, to planet themed pumpkins. Hollywood themed pumpkins, actors/actresses, sports figures, dinosaurs, Day of the Dead, the Chinese zodiac, Wizard of Oz, even the Kardashians (but they left Bruce/Caitlyn out), there was even a memorial section. You name it, it was probably there...

And lastly, for the hungry and the interested they offer booths and various tables set up with refreshments, souvenirs, and gifts.

As you could imagine, we had a very nice time and I personally recommend this event for all those even remotely interested!
The popularity is growing and now with 1 location in New York, 2 locations in Los Angeles, and 1 location in San Diego, you should definitely go and check it out!

And have a spooktacular time,
-T
