DAY 1
Depart Long Island - 6 am
Get breakfast on the way
Arrive Scranton - 9:30am -10:00 am
Anthracite Heritage Museum
Take a trip back in time to learn about the immigrants who traveled to the U.S. to work in the coal-mining industry during the early 19th century.
Lunch - Noon
Lackawanna Coal Mine Tour - 1:00 pm
Located in McDade Park, the Lackawanna Coal Mine Tour gives visitors a chance to head 300 feet underground into a former coal mine. This mine used to produce anthracite coal that was shipped all over the world, but has been open for tours since 1985. Former mine workers guide visitors through the passages of the mine, explaining what life was like for miners and how they did their job.

Walk around campus
Scranton Iron Furnaces
Tour of the historic iron furnaces to learn about iron production and its impact on the nation.
Will visit the exhibits on iron and steel-making.
Steamtown National Historic Site
Steamtown National Historic Site is one of Pennsylvania's best railroad destinations and tells the story of transportation in northeastern Pennsylvania. The museum is home to nearly 100 train cars. These cars are split between the museum, the train excursions, and the restoration workshop. Will tour the museum and restoration workshop, and perhaps ride a train along the rails in Scranton.
Lunch: Terra Preta Prime
Electric City Trolley Museum
Will take a trolley ride excursion at this museum which shows why Scranton was once called the Electric City.
Dinner: Eden - A Vegan/Vegetarian Cafe
Day 3
Breakfast: Blue Bee Bistro
Drive Home to Long Island
