I know that we aren't there in person to celebrate her moving on to High School but we are there in spirit!! Hopefully we can be there to attend her high school graduation and share in the festivities! Moving on... Today Dave and I are off to Agoura Hills to go and visit with Dave's mom. This will be the second of 3 times up to LA this weekend and 4 times this week. I happened to be up in LA with last night with my friend Jodie (and 2 of her friends) for the REO Speedwagon and Chicago concert at the LA Forum. After an early morning and a long day of running around I made it home barely in time to get ready to be picked up by my friend Jodie. We then carpooled sitting in massive amounts of traffic as she navigated with the help of Waze in order to get us up to the venue. It was unanimous with everyone I spoke to and we definitely blame all of the grad parties for the über extra time delays in traffic. Jodie had a couple of friends meet up with us to enjoy the tunes of REO Speedwagon and Chicago. I was excited about the concert and had always thought I was a fan of these groups, but sitting there I realized that I hardly recognized but a few songs throughout the night. Jodie's friends took off early - which on my own I never do. It was REO who took to the stage first and then it was Chicago for the remainder of the night. And they played and played and played. To the point that even Jodie was ready for us to leave (and she is not the type to early either) so that we did. And we headed back to OC a song or two before the end of the concert. Well it was a fun night, but I guess I'd probably skip going to another REO Speedwagon or Chcicago concert. I've gotta plenty to do while Dave does the driving today. Lots more for tomorrow as we head to the Getty and to the Pasadena Chalk Festival. Tootles, -Travelin' Tanya |
