Exploring Whidbey Island and An All Girls Trip to Recharge and Reset
Tanya's Daily Scoop
CURRENTLY IN: ORANGE COUNTY, CA
Greetings everyone!
Happy Saturday! How on Earth is it already October?! Where did the year go? Or I guess a better question for us to look at is where did I go so far this year?! Before I dive into that, let's jump right into what I am looking forward to this month and we'll get back to doing a recap on another day. October, is when my holiday (madness) countdown begins. BTW - Can you believe that we only have 81 days until Christmas?! Each year my calendar gets filled with all of the birthday and holiday mania starting in October but it really kicks off on Oct. 14th - Cosette's birthday! And with all of her options out there (the world was her oyster), she (Cosette) has decided that she would like us to go to Whidbey Island - an island in Washington's Puget Sound. Of course we'll get more into chatting about this next week (when I am there). This will be all of our first time visiting and we are all looking quite forward to the quaintness and charm of this lovely small island. Now, let me share a small list of interests that I've compiled:
“Overlooking the waters of Saratoga Passage and the Cascade Mountains, Langley’s charming streets are lined with historic buildings, shops, bistros, art galleries, wine tasting bars, a coffee roaster, flower-filled walkways, restaurants, a performing arts center and vintage theatre. A museum offers local history. Ring the whale bell when you see one from the shore. Festivals throughout the year celebrate the arts, nature, music, the holidays and more. Explore the Langley Loop.”
“The second oldest town in Washington state, and Island County seat, the town has over 100 buildings on the National Historic Register including turn of the century Victorian homes. Located on Penn Cove, home of the famous Penn Cove mussels, many of charming Coupeville’s historic buildings house lodgings, restaurants and shops. Things to see include numerous festivals, the Island County Historical Museum, the Coupeville Wharf and a retro bowling alley."

And while although this trip is only just a getaway, I am always excited to get away on a trip and start exploring!! NEXT UP: Then we have The All Girls Trip to Orlando - Read more about these plans in Elisa's Column. TAKE AN ALL GIRLS TRIP TO RECHARGE AND RESET It is becoming increasingly more and more evident that taking regular girls trip is important to the well being of not only us ladies - but also the guys in our lives... While we (woman) tend to wear way too many hats to count in order to move the family along and manage to get by day to day, it may seem effortless to those on the outside looking in. Even those on the inside (especially the men - sorry guys, you know I love ya) who really have not the slightest clue as to how much we are actually doing - yet there are probably several of them out there who complain that we are micro-managing! That's always a bit of a chuckle. Keeping a household running smoothly is a tiresome, under appreciated (under paid) job and after time can really take it's toll on our Life Energy and those very relationships that we hold so dear. TAKE TIME TO RECHARGE AND RESET Getting some distance from it all and stepping away from our daily routines and responsibilities - if even just for a few days is a wonderful way to recharge and reset. Doing this has the ability to not only bring us back to a good place, but also give us more patience to deal with those we care about the most and who we do so much for during our at home daily routines. MAKE THE TIME - DON'T MAKE THE EXCUSE Share, laugh, rejoice and make memories with your daughters, nieces, sisters, mothers, grandmothers, aunts, cousins and close friends. It will be meaningful and memorable. PLUS... When you get back home - the guys in your life might even appreciate you a little bit more (to be honest - it probably won't last very long and things will go back to normal). But that's okay, that just means you need to plan another GIRLS GETAWAY! AND IT'S GOOD FOR THE GUYS TOO Think of how often they complain about women "nagging" them and giving them the Hunny Do List. Well if we are off traveling on a girls trip, then these guys can finally get some peace and quiet! Not to mention, they also might get a small peak at what it's like to manage the house. We can always wish. Let's all make a wish and make it a good one, Ciao 4 now, -Travelin' Tanya Now please enjoy the mouth watering list of special options at Epcot's Food and Wine Festival : |
"Cousins & Mom" Florida Trip Bookings and Plant-based Food & Wine Festival Options
Elisa's Daily Scoop
CURRENTLY IN: LONG ISLAND, NEW YORK
Hello and Happy October!!
Can you. believe it - we are deep into the harvest season, which is my favorite season of the year! Not to mention that it is also my birthday month!! This month is super exciting for me and Tanya since we are taking a trip together since our last "cousinss trip" back in 2021 with our Cousins New England Lighthouse Road Trip
We did an important booking for our upcoming trip - our rental car. I haven't rented a car in a while and was floored by the prices! But, with Tanya's guidance, we managed to get a week's rental for $144 from Fox Rent A Car.
And now for a brief rant!! I couldn't believe the amount of tax on this booking!! It was over $50. This is really criminal if you ask me! Ok - rant over. With the rental car booking complete, Tanya and I are now looking to book a visit to the Kennedy Space Center in Cape Canaveral.
We actually have a pretty busy day planned for our little excursion to Cape Canaveral. Not only will be going to the Space Center, but we will also be enjoying a EES session at the Staying Aliive Wellness Center as well.
Staying Aliive Wellness Center is a Private Membership Association (PMA) providing energy wellness services and education. They are a 24-unit Energy Enhancement System.
If you haven't heard about EE Systems - here is what you need to know.
"The EES emits multiple bioactive fields, including scalar waves, which super-charge your cells and provide them with the energy they need to regenerate into new and healthy cells at a rapid pace. The concept of this technology is very simple; similar to how you would recharge your cell phone, the EES allows you to recharge your cells and literally increased the life force energy at a cellular level." So essentially, when you visit, you can expect to sit comfortably in the chairs and it is very likely you will experience a deep relaxation that occurs along with a meditational state of mind from which any kind of healing can be achieved. Being within this energy of scalar waves essentially energetically charges the cells, thereby allowing the organs and the body to function optimally. There is clinical research that has documented the positive impact that this technology can provide to your body. In a recent clinical study of life analysis or a blood microscopy, showed the difference in the blood before and after one hour in the EES. The doctor said it was frankly miraculous that you could see the total cellular regeneration in the blood after one hour of being in the system. The key take away about the EE Systems is that, number one, they are not medical devices and they don’t actually heal you in any way, shape or form. Rather, the EE System provides the most pristine atmosphere so that essentially the body is activated to send messages to every cell to start producing the most healthy cells ever, and as a result your body starts to heal itself on its own. I actually had the pleausre o interviewing the owner of Staying Aliive, Mel Carmine, on my podcast, The High VIBE Show. Take a listen to learn about this wonderful technology! The next thing we need to do is get our park tickets to EPCOT . While this is NOT a Disney Trip per se, we are staying at a park resort and spending one day boppin' around EPCOT for the Food and Wine Festival! That’s it for this week. Till next time Elisa |
