Tanya's Daily Scoop CURRENTLY TRAVELING IN: HAWAII
Howdy all! Aloha & Happy Saturday!
This will be my last GREETINGS from Maui (until my next trip back here! lol)
Hope that you are coming off of a nice week and that you have something fun planned for this weekend...if that's your thing! Or if hanging out and chillin' is your thing, then I hope that you have planned plenty of that for yourself.
I'm ready for my Hula lesson!
My week has been just lovely!
As far as yesterday went, it was our last full day here on Mauiand the activities calendar was booked pretty full!
We stayed on the property and did everything from taking a Hula lesson - this was a blast! All three of us participated (so I couldn't be snapping away taking lots of pics), and GEEZ can Cosette and Dominic dance! They made the rest of us look like fools (and I though that I was doing well!). They seriously got the moves and KNOW how to shake what their momma gave them!
We attended the Koi feeding and the kids helped feed the Koi.
Between activities, the kids played foosball and the three of us played ping pong - seems like Dominic is getting ready for us to have a tournament in Lake Tahoe!
The kids joined in on a water balloon toss, and everyone went out on the same "under the leg" toss, there were balloons splatting just about everywhere!
They also tried their luck at a hula hoop contest - but as well as they can shake those hips, they couldn't quite keep that hula hoop going.
I had an appointment to view the proofs from the photo shoot that we had taken on Wednesday - it was so tough to choose...there were definitely some great pics!
And what's a day on Maui without some time in the water?! The ocean was a bit rough once we got out there, so of course we went to the pool (which is only a few steps from the ocean! lol).
We watched a beautiful sunset, and the tiki torch lighting ceremony.
Eventually heading up to our room to organize and pack...
TODAY, we are checking out of the resort here in Maui and we'll be moving on to the next segment of our trip - KAUAI - the Garden Isle!
And jsyk (just so you know) if this page looks all out of order - we really do apologize for our server - we have been having ongoing issues with them and the past few days it has really seemed to escalate!
I hope this gets fixed very soon, because you would not believe the headaches that this has been giving us!
Another note that I wanted to mention to you is just a bit of insight about our daily publishing deadline.
Being that I travel from time zone to time zone, there are days when I have an 11am deadline (SoCal), a 2pm deadline (New York), 6pm (parts of Europe), and so on...you get the picture.
Well being here in Hawaii has definitely been the toughest deadline I've experienced, 8am deadline! Ugh
Most days we need to be out before that deadline, which of course means getting it done even earlier. I don't think there has been a single day on this trip that I haven't woke up well before the sun so that I can make our deadline.
So needless to say...I really don't need any of these technical difficulties!
I'm definitely gonna miss this amazing view, and hate to say good bye to it, but rather in Hawaii they say: A hui hou (ah hoo-ee HO) – See you later/Until we meet again. This is a pleasant way to say goodbye to someone and is often combined with "aloha", such as, "Aloha. A hui hou!"
"Aloha. A hui hou Maui, A hui hou!"
See you guys in Kauai, -T

Horsin' Around Saturday
Hello! How is your day going?
Mine is going great. I started off the day a bit tired, but with the cool, Autumn temps, I felt invigorated to get moving!
Gianna and I packed up the car with all the horse tack and got on the road by 8am.
Kelsey had spent the night in Remsenburg with her Dad, so she was already at the barn when we arrived in Manorville.
Our drive out was uneventful...
The weather was awful when we arrived out east. Raining, windy. It was also a bit chilly in the barn, but I dressed warmly with four layers, so I was pretty good.
I had an interesting experience and felt like a true horsewoman when I christened by boots by stepping in a little surprise!
Most of my time at the barn was spent filming the kids riding. Kelsey is doing amazing!
I was also helping Gianna film for the Dream Come True Farm YouTube Channel.
Today, I confirmed my accommodations for my Columbus Day weekend trip to Lancaster, Pennsylvania (next weekend).

Well, it wouldn't be Saturday, if I didn't plan to do some shopping!! I'll be heading over to the Apple Store later to do a little research on the MAC Book Pro.
I presently have the Mac Book Air, which I totally love. The only thing is, I cannot edit videos on it, so in order to work on the Travelin' Cousins YouTube Channel, I will need to have the necessary programs to edit our many travel videos.
I finally picked up my glasses yesterday at LensCrafters, which I was wearing prominently in one of the above vlogs!
As of this writing, I'm having trouble uploading my videos - so angering!!! But, I will make sure I upload them later Perhaps it's the internet out here.
I'm heading back to the barn for another few hours!
