A Sweet 16 Mexico Trip Added to calendar
Hey there!!
Our saturday started off very early as I hd to get Kelsey to her Catholic High School Entrance Exam bright and early. I know that my girl was nervous, but I'm sure she will do just fine!
Considering the fact that Gianna and I were up so early, we decided to stop at Starbucks, get a warm beverage and as I did my daily writing, my girl Gianna relaxed on a big comfy chair with her cell phone in hand.
Up and coming... This coming year we have so many things happening! All new, all good! First, as you know, we will be moving in alittle over a month into our new home. This is not only exciting, but, a whole new start for me and my girls after the past four years with my divorce and lots of changes in our lifestyle. So, a new abode will really get our lives onto a new track, leaving the old behind! Of course, prior to the big move, we will be heading down to Disney World for a fun, Thanksgiving weekend in the most Magical place on earth! This Christmas will mark the first in a while that we will be spending at home - actually, in our new home! Luckily, we made no travel plans because I'm pretty sure we'll be knee deep in construction getting things updated and beautified in the new house. With the new year and 2020, right around the corner, our family has a few important milestones... First, we have Gianna's Sweet 16 birthday in May; and then June brings us to Kelsey's 8th Grade graduation.
One of Gianna's friends is having a Destination Sweet 16 and invited her so, considering that I would not send my girl to Mexico without me, I decided to make it a little family celebration trip and therefore, Kelsey and I will be joining.
Actually, all of the girls' going will have their mothers there as well, which will be a great deal of fun, however, I'm really looking forward to having some one-on-one time with my graduate while Gianna enjoys herself with her girlfriends. Our destination is in the Mexican Caribbean, along the Mayan Riviera. From the photos, it certainly looks gorgeous and I just love all-inclusive resorts since it leaves little to worry about! The timeframe is at the end of June, right after the girls are done with school for the year. The Riviera Maya is a tourism and resort district south of Cancún, Mexico located in the eastern portion of the Yucatán Peninsula. The Riviera Maya was originally called the "Cancun–Tulum corridor", but in 1999 it was renamed as the Riviera Maya. Famous for its large scale all-inclusive resorts and a historical tourism base of smaller boutique hotels, a major attraction throughout the Riviera Maya are coastal and reef aquatic activities dependent on the coastal water and the Mesoamerican Barrier Reef System, also known as the Belize Barrier Reef. The Barrier Reef System begins near Cancun and continues along the whole length of the Riviera Maya continuing southward to Guatemala. This barrier reef system is the second longest in the world. I'm sure the three of us will need a beach vacay with all that's going on in the coming months!! Ok - it's time to get my girl from her test. But, before I say goodbye, please be sure to check out our previously posted article about Dubrovnik, the link for which is posted on Tanya's Scoop!! -Travelin' Elisa xoxo |
