What if Your Flight is Cancelled
Hi there and Happy Thursday!! Just soaking in another glorious weather day here on Long Island!
This has been such a productive week! Tanya and I usually do not have the luxury of so much down time - meaning, one of us is either on the run or traveling - so these past few weeks have been a Godsend as we've managed to truly work as partners and accomplish a great deal for our blog. Someone recently asked me "what is your goal with your blog?" That was probably the easiest question I had ever been asked. Our goal with Travelin' Cousins is to inspire people to embrace their inner traveler whether it be close to home or afar, regardless of life or financial circumstances. Tanya and I both decided a long time ago that seeing the world was way too important to put off for some time in the future. We have never let the ages of our kids or life (as is humanly possible) get in the way. Some may say, "well, what a about budget and money?" Yes, a valid point, and that is why "traveling" need not always be to far off exotic (and expensive) destinations. We have enjoyed local historic destinations and daycations just as much a our extended stay, foreign travel. There's always a unique way to fit "traveling" into your life and we sincerely hope that we prove this to our followers each day!
And speaking of travel...
I am curious to know just how many of us have experienced the inconvenience and disappointment of having a flight cancelled. The initial knee-jerk reaction is usually anger, but, that is not the way to figure out your next step in achieving your goal - getting to your intended destination. Here is some good, sound advice and valuable information in a recent article featured in Travel & Leisure: This Is the First Thing You Should Do If Your Flight Is Canceled or Diverted The article also features some a video, if you are more inclined to watch instead of read! CLICK HERE for the full article. Almost Friday... With Friday quickly approaching, I've got another article feature for ThisIsTheBronx.info in the works. I'll surprise you tomorrow! But that said, I've got to get crackin' as Tanya and I have a conference call scheduled in a few hours. Wishing you a wonderful day!! -Travelin' Elisa xoxo |
Throwback to Yellowstone
Hey there! Can someone please tell me how it is already Thursday??
It's like Monday was here, then Tuesday and Wednesday go by in a flash and now it's Thursday and we are almost at yet another weekend! Today is a PACKING day for us here on the homefront. I NEED to get this done. Today is pretty much the last of my "free" time before our BIG TRIP TO CHINA!!
Speaking of "free" time, I was lucky if I could catch my breath yesterday with all of the running around that I had to do in order to check the things off of my to do list that needed to be done and in order to get the kids over to the FEW GOOD MEN - RONALD MCDONALD GALA.
With call times always being set much earlier than the performance, this one was even more extreme since we needed to have a sound check before the doors opened at 5:30p
After the sound check there was plenty of time back in the "green" room for the kids to hang out with their friends and relax before hitting the stage.
There was even a surprise visit from none other than Ronald McDonald himself!
Then it was time to step out into the ballroom.
The International Peace Choir Ambassadors all did such a fantastic job! They did 2 songs, Shake Hands with America and Make a Difference to an audience of well over 1,000 attendees. Way to go kids!!
And now I had a travel article in the works that I had wanted to share with you: 15 FUN FACTS ABOUT YELLOWSTONE NATIONAL PARK I decided to wait until today to publish so that I can tie it to a few totally fun Throwback Thursday Travelin' Cousins pics of me and Elisa back in May 2016 at Yellowstone National Park.
Now it's time for me to get on with my day and get to that big task of packing for China!
See you guys back here tomorrow, -Travelin' Tanya |
