Hello November. Hello Rain.Hey Hey Hey! Is everyone still on a candy high from yesterday? When I was younger and in NY, we always use to trick-or-treat in the daytime. But here in Southern California that is unheard of and the festivities don't begin until after dark. We gathered our big group and paraded the neighborhood, having an absolute blast-a-too! What a fun night it was! We actually had more members of our group dress up than I was originally informed of, 13 out of 15 in costumes!!! The little ones were having such a great time that the night lasted longer than some of the recent past years, and even the rain (which started while we were out there trick-or-treating) couldn't stop us! Even our neighborhood was a bit more lively than we're use to it being (as this is definitely not a very festive neighborhood...especially for Halloween). Which all made for a very enjoyable evening. My kids don't even really eat the majority of the candy that they collect (they donate it), but they love getting into the spirit of things and having a good 'ol time! Once we returned, all a bit soppy by this point, the festivities continued with rocking' out to Rock Band, friends coming over, board game playing, and movie watching! Earlier in the day, I had even managed to get a start on swapping out the first bin of winter clothes before getting into costume! That was definitely a BIG deal, and it started to be a BIG mess that I got myself into! Luckily I had it all under control in just the nick of time! As for today, we will be heading to our usual Saturday Cinnamon Rolls and Acai Bowls, then a bit of Saturday shopping - on the hunt for our Christmas Outfits! Finally we will be heading out to a Fundraiser for the kids International Peace Choir at Veggie Grill for none other than World Vegan Day! We are just arriving at Green Bliss Cafe and I hear an Acai Bowl calling my name! So, I'm gonna wish you a great Saturday & hope to see you back here tomorrow - same time same place! -T | Goodbye October, Hello NovemberHappy Saturday! Woke up to a yucky, ugly day - rainy and windy! Can't believe that it is November already and October is gone! So, tell me -- WHAT DO YOU THINK OF OUR NEW HOME PAGE??? We are so excited to have revealed this yesterday. We'd love your feedback!! Did you have a fun Halloween? We had two rounds of trick-or-treating yesterday. First, around my neighborhood with the girls in the early afternoon and then we headed over to Denise's neighborhood for more trick-or-treating in the evening. The kids had a successful day with their candy collection!! I was happy too knowing there would be a great deal for me to raid!! Gianna was so happy that her professional make-up artist sister, Rebecca, did her zombie make-up! Rebecca even gave Kelsey a little Minnie Mouse nose! Today we are going to have a mellow day and relax, since tomorrow we have plans for a "touristy" day in the NYC. Denise and I purchased tickets for the Downtown NYC Double Decker bus tour for all of us. Can't wait! I'll give you the full report on Monday!! I can't wait to hear all about Tanya's Halloween! She looked amazing as a pirate! And how adorable did Dominic and Cosette look in their Roman God and Goddess! Well, I'm going to take full advantage of the rainy weather today and relax all day, researching for some of my upcoming trips, including Eastern Europe!! See ya back here tomorrow!! -E |
