The week ahead & the NYBG Orchid Show
Well, hello there!! A Big Happy Monday to you!
Snowy evening here on Long Island and the New York area and as a result, most of the high schools had a snow day. Gianna's school was closed, but Kelsey only ha a 2-hour delay.
My absolutely amazing neighbor, Ryan was up bright and early, snow blowing the side walks and did my driveway for the second day this week!! I am so blessed to have such a kind and considerate neighbor. Going to head over to their house tonight with a little surprise!! Gianna decided to join me in taking Kelsey to school. She ran a few errands with me and then we made our way to Starbucks to enjoy coconut hot chocolates and catch up with my friend Jeremy for some conversation and laughs. I'm back home now and have lots to catch up on with email correspondence and bill paying. Have I mentioned to you guys just how many talented writers and bloggers inquire with us daily about contributing an article to Travelin' Cousins. It's actually amazing. We try to accommodate as many as we can in our Monday Guest Blogger column, but, of course, we cannot accept everyone. I do hope you enjoy these contributed pieces. As a dog mom myself, I love bringing my sweet Punkin everywhere possible and the idea of traveling with our pets is getting more and more the norm, as hotels are becoming increasingly dog-friendly.

In other news...
This week, I'll be making my way to the Bronx - Friday to be exact. I was hoping to make it there last week, to visit The Orchid Show at the New York Botanical Gardens, but it was just such a nutty, over scheduled week, that i had to put my little day trip off by a week. I cannot wait! The annual Orchid Show is one of my favorites. This year's show, "Singapore" —where the national flower is an orchid—is the inspiration for the 17th annual Orchid Show, which runs through April 28, 2019.

A little piece of Paris right in the heart of Los Angeles
Good day everyone and a very happy Monday to you!
I'm on here super early today, since Mondays are always my busiest day and since we've just got back from Tahoe on Friday I've got even extra to do on this Monday. Plenty of playing catch up. So before I run out the door until late tonight, let's touch on yesterday with some Daily Scoop... Heading up to Agoura Hills Dave and I still hadn't had breakfast and had decided to go for brunch somewhere along the way.

After brunch we had continued on our way to wish Dave's mom a Happy 85th Birthday!

The time eventually came that we had to leave and head back home. We were peckish and had enjoyed our DELICIOUS vegan chocolate dessert on the ride back - which also made sitting in traffic slightly more tolerable. LOL

We got home in time to take Cosette to work and for me to make dinner.
