Mid week travel updateHowdy guys!! I really believe that Spring is finally on its way. Just a gorgeous day here on Long Island. Yesterday was a bit nutty as I had a bunch of errands and to-do's and then Kelsey's Science Fair in the evening. BUT....we did make it to an afternoon showing of Captain Marvel!!! In a word - GREAT!!! If you haven't already seen it, I strongly suggest you do!!!  Waiting for the movie to begin (c) travelincousins.com  Captain Marvel! (c) travelincousins.com  In travel news... I've got a few bookings to do myself as does Tanya (read her Scoop), which also includes mine and the girls' flights to Sicily. Additionally, while I've got my airfare booked for our October trip to Las Vegas, I'm counting on Tanya to book our hotel reservations, since she is the Las Vegas Queen and expert. I've also been doing quite a bit of research on Amsterdam, which is on the calendar for Spring 2020. I'll be adding this and our Sweet 16 in Punta Cana trip to the Home page by weeks' end!! As you may have noticed, my countdown for my next trip hasn't gone down from 10 days. I decided yesterday that we are going to leave on the 23rd (super early in the morning) rather than on the 22nd and deal with traffic on the drive out to Phoenix. I'm still on a high from the awesome time that we had going to Spring Training in Tampa. It was soooooo cool! Phoenix Spring Training will also be tons of fun for the baseball fan in me. It may not be as cool as in Tampa because it's not my team, but I know we are gonna have a blast. And then to butt that trip up to our ski trip to Utah adds an entirely different dimension of fun! Packing however is gonna be a bit of an interesting task. LOL  To also keep you abreast of my travel updates, we have all but one flight that still is in need of booking for our Cousins Sicily Trip this June/July. As of last night I have all of the major flights booked to and from Los Angeles and the excitement for this trip is definitely building! I usually get some truly amazing deals and perks out there with all of the travel that I do. But I kinda screwed up on this one. I saw a good deal about a month ago and passed in up in hopes of finding an even better deal. I'm great at flight forecasts and know how much is a fair, good, great, amazing, and lousy deal is. A return flight from Sicily was not a route that I have much knowledge with and I took my chances. I finally pulled the BOOK IT NOW trigger yesterday and took a loss compared to what I could've got the ticket at. Summer is peak season and like I always tell me clients/friends and family. Buy your flights the minute you find the deal that works for you. I however did not follow my own advice on this one. And the price is only going to continue going up for our dates - again, because it is the high season. Oh well. Better I got it now than continued to hold out and then pay even more. Busy day ahead.
