BRAND BALLOT'S TOP 100 MOM BLOGS FOR 2018!!
Pet Grooming VolunteerHappy Friday!!! And Happy March! Wow - the beginning of the third month of 2019 - where does the time go?? The countdown is here!! Tomorrow is my big day at Vera Bradley for their In-store Travel Event. I stopped over there this morning to drop off some display materials and handouts as well as a pretty cool window sign for them to use! I'm looking forward to see a bunch of friends tomorrow! Don't forget to show the invite (below) for the extra $10 of $50 purchase! In other news... Both of my girls have to complete community service this year and as such, they are doing volunteer work at Jo-Mar Grooming, where my beloved Punkin goes for Doggie Daycare, grooming and boarding. So, today, since Kelsey had a half day of school, she'll be volunteering her time to help out the team. Cathy, the owner, told me to bring Punkin as well, so Kelsey could learn how to give a doggie a proper bath! After dropping off both of my girls, I found myself all alone (boo) so I just headed out to Starbucks to do some writing and work on my presentation for tomorrow's Vera Bradley event, until I have to pick up Gianna from school and double back to get Kelsey and Punkin. Another Friday, Another Feature in ThisIsTheBronx.info. This week - read all about: The Connection Between Disney and the Bronx During my most recent trip to Walt Disney World (a place I visit once a year with my daughters and absolutely love!), I became preoccupied with the idea of there existing some sort of connection between the most magical place on earth and the Bronx. Seemed like a fun topic for a Weekday Magazine article and so with a bit of research, my persistence paid off and I’m pleased to tell you my findings. read more Last, but not least, with March upon us, I wanted to share an article from Afar.com: 10 Best Places to Go in March read more... This article highlights destinations all around the world, so perhaps, one of these is close enough for you to make it to this month!! Ok - I'm headed to get the girls - see ya tomorrow! -Travelin' Elisa xoxo | Sand Harbor & skiing at Diamond PeakHappy March 1st to you! It's my birthday month and I have a bunch of fun planned for this month - would you expect anything less? Next week, yup in exactly 7 days I will be heading to Florida. Kinda funny that Elisa and the girls just got back from Florida and too bad that the timing didn't work out better and that we could've seen each other while there. I'm not going to Florida and heading to Disney World (that trip isn't planned until 2020), where I am heading to is to watch a few MLB Spring Training Games! And of course there is more, much more - but I will save all of the plans to share with you over the next few days. For now let's touch on yesterday... The avalanche warnings had been lifted and our plan was to go skiing at Kirkwood Ski Resort. I purchased our lift tickets online before midnight the day before - in order to get a small discount vs buying them at the ticket window. We woke up amped and rearing to hit the slopes and tear up the terrain. The only thing was that when I checked the map there were road closures galore and there was no way of us getting to Kirkwood. UGH There go the plans again. Well the other 2 resorts that I had in mind were either Mt. Rose - which also had road closures and no way of us getting there. Or Diamond Peak - the smallest resort of them all. A community owned resort. The roads had made our decision for us and off to Diamond Peak we went. Upon arrival I just found it so adorable and as though I had been transported from the California/Nevada border to somewhere in either Utah or Colorado. It was beautiful and I immediately loved it! Please enjoy the pictures and the video of our day on the slopes at Diamond Peak. Then we were off to Sand Harbor: It's time for us to say good bye to Lake Tahoe and for us to get on the road back to the OC. See ya on the road, -Travelin' Tanya |
