| Travel Disappointment  Tanya's Daily Scoop CURRENTLY IN: ORANGE COUNTY, CALIFORNIA Well guys, There will be days like this and it happened this morning... Our upcoming August trip to Vietnam, a trip that we had been looking forward to since last December had to be cancelled. You know that I am not the type to cancel any trip. But since this one was actually planned by Skip and Khanny, when they found out that they were no longer able to go and that they had to cancel their trip, it really just did not make sense for us to still push on through. I told them to keep me posted as to when they decide to add this to their calendar once again (they actually go quite frequently), I think that until then that I will just wait and look forward to all the rest of my upcoming trips for the remaining 6 months of the 2024 year:

Elisa's Daily Scoop CURRENTLY IN: LONG ISLAND, NEW YORK Hello Guys! It's the weekend and boy do I have a bunch of errands to do before my trip to Disney World on Monday. The good news is, I got up nice and early, got my butt out of bed and hit the road. First stop - Pet Supplies Plus to load up on cat food for the week (for the cat sitter) and some dog food for my Punkin while she's being boarded. (Mommy (me) cooks for Punkin each night so she'll have to withstand a week of processed food (sad face)). Next stop - the post office to drop off a welcome package to a new coaching client. Then lastly, for my daily reward, my fresh pressed juice!!  Half gone fresh pressed juice (c)travelincousins.com This is always the joy of my day - so refreshing and healthy!! I switch it up sometimes, but my usual is a 24oz juice made with Ginger, Parsley, Lemon, Orange and Green Apple. As you can see, I dug right into this one before I could take a photo!!  Throwback to February 2019 in Disney (c)travelincousins.com TWO DAY COUNTDOWN TO DISNEY WORLD!! Packing Update Thought I would give you a little overview of where we are with our trip. I'm pretty much all packed (except for those last minute items that I shove in right before leaving the house). Wardrobe Plan My wardrobe is shorts and a tank or tee each day with sneakers (easy peasy). And considering the heat factor, I am NOT going to fuss with my hair - it's a baseball cap each day - for which, I have painstakingly selected matching cap for each daily outfit!! Pets Cat Sitter is all confirmed and briefed; and Punkin starts her week long dog boarding tomorrow afternoon since we have a super early flight on Monday morning. Transportation Uber reservation made for drop off at the airport for our departure and we are all booked for our round trip transportation from the airport to Disney resort and the return to airport next Friday. Park Tickets Ok - so this is where I will be having a major rant fest. In the past when me and the girls have gone to Disney World, we have usually gone to 4 parks (Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, Animal Kingdom and Hollywood Studios) - and even though it cost more in total for park tickets, the cost per day for the tickets was under $100 (which is absurd in and of itself!). This week, when Kelsey and I were chilling out at The French Workshop having an iced tea, I almost choked to death when she told me the price per ticket for two days. Are you ready for this...$301 each!!! Considering there are three of us, the cost for 2 days to go to two parks (in this case, Magic Kingdom and EPCOT) is a grand total of $903 plus tax!!!!! Now I have been a Disney Vacation Club member in good standing since 2007 - we always pay the dues on time - and I asked the customer service person "What real benefit do I have as a vacation member????!" The poor guy, who was very polite, did not have an answer for me. I actually considered cancelling the trip, that is how angry I got at the rip off prices. But, in the end, I just. took a deep breath - decided to resolve myself to the fact that Disney is a total rip off and just enjoy the time with my girls! So....I will be purchasing the tickets today!
