One of Those MorningsToday was one of those mornings. Both kids woke up extremely tired and cranky; didn't want to go to school; who had a headache; whose stomach hurt; meanwhile, I'm up and at 'em - making lunches, snacks, breakfast, packing backpacks, collecting dirty laundry, making beds. In the end, Gianna stayed home - she was just exhausted from the moment she got home from school yesterday and had a bad sinus headache. Kelsey, was pushing for the same (though her issue was her belly) but unfortunately, she was having a math test, so she had to go. :-( She was not happy. All I could do to comfort myself was think about traveling - being away from everyone lol! Check out Part 4 of Tanya & Elisa's New Mexico Road Trip today! Lots of information about the sites we are trying to weave into our road trip. Mark your calendars for "Travelin'" Tuesdays when you can see a new installment on our New Mexico Trip as well as any and all of our upcoming trips and the progress we are making with our planning. It's been an exciting week for exposure because both of us cousins have had articles published on other sites! Kudos to Tanya who has some wonderful news about one of her photos, which I know she is eager to share today! I'm working on Part 2 of Picturesque Prague & Imperial Vienna: The Spanish Riding School, which I expect to post within the next day or so. Stay tuned! As far as my airfare to Albuquerque goes, I received several alerts yesterday of great fares...but not one of them was for October!! Still keeping my fingers crossed. I thought this quote was very appropriate with the mood I'm in today. " Most children threaten at times to run away from home. This is the only thing that keeps some parents going" - Phyllis Diller -E | A Mellow(ish) TuesdayI don't know about you, but I had a fairly lazy morning. Luckily my lifestyle can afford such things. But after a couple of hours of being "lazy", I am re-energized and completely invigorated to complete all my tasks at hand for the day, the week, whatever...just bring it on! Lots on the to do list, as well as lots of writing to complete as well as to start up - it's a very good thing and one that I really enjoy! Last night, the IPC graduation turned out to be a huge success! However, upon our arrival it seemed that we were all locked out of the building! Luckly we "managed" to get in and with lots of teamwork set EVERYTHING up in record time! While all of this was going on I had realized that although I had my camera, I left the SD card in my computer. Ugh! Birdwald Ponypants to the rescue! He made a quick run to pick up me a new card so we wouldn't miss out on pictures from the event. Which turned out to be a great night! Some very touching moments of bidding our farewells, some very exciting moments of recognition and awards. Not to mention some yummy food! And the pocket Samosa's that we brought were a really huge hit! On another very cool note: As Elisa mentioned, I was contacted yesterday afternoon regarding my photographs by a restaurant in Las Vegas that wants to commission me as the food photographer for the menus of their upcoming new restaurant! So that was a lovely and unexpected surprise that I'm pretty excited about! Did you know that I love our new themed 'Travelin' Tuesdays'? Come on how fun is that?! And we are all looking so forward to our 'Travelin' Cousins' New Mexico Road Trip - the excitement just keeps building!! Have any of our readers visited the sites that we have listed for our itinerary? Any recommendations? "Travel, it's the only thing you can spend money on that will make you richer." -Unknown That's all folks! Until I meet ya back here tomorrow. -T |
