Happy Monday!!! A new day, a new week!!
What does your week look like? Mine is relatively uncluttered. Very unusual for me, so I'm going to enjoy my free time and use it wisely to finalize additional travel bookings and write - two of my favorite things to do!!
My shopping day yesterday was a total success!! I actually me my sis at the mall - we shopped and had a lot of fun chatting and laughing. Among other things, I got a really cool pair of Ivanka Trump shoes.
I'd been looking all winter for cranberry colored shoes and as I was pulled like a magnet to the shoe department in Nordstrom, my eyes became fixated on these really pretty shoes. I'm so happy. And they were so comfortable too!!! Way to go Ivanka!
Anyone watch the Golden Globe Awards last night. I admit, I really did not see a lot of the movies, nor do I watch many of the TV-shows. However, in spite of this fact, I do watch House of Cards and was so thrilled to see Kevin Spacey win for Best Actor.
Now, I would have been happy as well, if Liev Schreiber won for Ray Donovan since I also watch that series as well and love Mr. Schreiber in his role. But he didn't and Kevin Spacey did. Go Kevin!!
Well folks, that's a wrap for me today.
I'm just fixated on watching the snowfall today.
It is really coming down & we are expecting at least 8 inches of new fluffy champagne snow to ski on!
How very exciting!!!
The silky champagne snow is after all what the Utah ski/snowboard scene is known for & I can't wait to get some fresh tracks in the morning!
So pretty, and makes the scenery an even more beautiful winter wonderland!
Well, I guess it's Monday, but who can really tell when they are on vacation? I know I can't!
I hope that everyone had a great weekend doing something that was enjoyed!
Since it's snowing here today and there will be definite white out conditions on the slopes, plus being that Cosette doesn't really like skiing while it's snowing, we are taking the day off.
We're just gonna relax, take it easy, enjoy watching the snowfall, drink some hot cocoa, hopefully hit the gym, and possibly go into town to do some shopping!
**Sweet little Chaplin has asked that I please bring her back a teddy bear! Such a cutie! xoxo
Yesterday was yet another successful day out on the slopes...
It was both Dave's & Cosette's first time skiing at Park City.
So as usual after our day on the mountain, our routine is to head into the shops down below and look for patches, pins, and other various souvenirs to mark Dave's first visit and accomplishments at a new resort!
Dave has a cool tradition of placing the pins on one of his ski jackets & let me tell you that when he wears that jacket, he gets tons of attention from all of his "bling"! It could get embarrassing! LOL
He has the patches sewed onto his ski bag, which is a lot of fun and something that I wish I thought of to do a long time ago - so I'm kinda jealous of this idea!
Anyhow, the next time I have the opportunity I'll take some pictures of this mentioned jacket and ski bag and post them for you to see!
Speaking of Dave, after we all had a scrumptious dinner last night at Vertical Diner (again), we dropped him off at the airport and the poor guy is slaving away at work today. Boo.
We wish he were still here with us!
I'm signing off for now, hope that Monday isn't too hard on ya! And I'll catch ya back here tomorrow!
PS...Thanks to Abigale for all of her recent comments. Please keep 'em coming!
