Speaking of beach vacations...
The girls and I are attempting to get our 2020 plans in order.  We agreed that we would love another beach vacation.  Where to?  Not sure, although, we did love the Dominican Republic, so we are thinking of Punta Cana at AM Resorts Now Resorts & Spas.

Additionally, we have decided to do a cruise in 2020!!  Yes - that's right - the first for me and my girls.  And we've decided it will be a mediterranean cruise, but we are just trying to figure out the specific route.

A recap of the Super Bowl and a tragedy in the neighborhood

Hiya everyone! 

We are gonna have another couple of rainy days here in the southland. I'm perfectly okay with that, since I love the rain.
I just hate it if my feet/socks get wet.  

So I'm using my newish rain booties that I purchased for our November 2018 China trip. Sure they keep my feet dry, but I definitely prefer the tall rain boot style over the short one. The short ones just don't really make all that much sense to me.

So I think I will be shopping around for a pair of tall rain boots and maybe go ahead and donate these short ones or something. 

Here I am coming off of such a food filled weekend. It was great!

Before any of the Super Bowl festivities began, I had a few errands to run in order to have all of the ingredients needed.

Just as we were getting back from Whole Foods I happened to take a peek at social media and FaceBook.

A plane had just crashed down in our neighborhood!!! Our windows shook and it felt like a little earthquake.
There were 2 houses on fire and the news that got back to us at first was that the family wasn't at home. Sadly later one it was found out that there were 5 killed by the crash (the pilot and 4 people inside of the first house) and 3 hospitalized at the burn center (one being a fire fighter).

This incident most certainly had the neighborhood grieving and in shock. Our thoughts and prayers are with the surviving family members. 

The rest of the afternoon into the evening would go down in the record books as the Super Bowl with the lowest score.

The Patriots won and I was actually happy about it. 
We all sat around the boob tube watching the game and of course eating...

I definitely didn't get the best pictures for the grub.

By the time we ate all of this food, we were quite full and had to postpone the making of the remaining Super Bowl Snacks. Dinner was also out of the question. LOL
