Tanya's Daily Scoop NEXT TRIP IN DEPARTS IN: 27 DAYS
For the love of Food!
Ahhhh the conviences of technology (not to say that it can't drive me crazy too) I'm writing to you from the passenger seat of the car as we head up into Los Angeles and Dave is behind the wheel. Traffic is a mess - as per usual. But honestly we are living in the future...I mean what's next??? Beam me up Scotty!
Our first stop in LA is to have a lovely Saturday Brunch! LOL Saturday Brunch - hey I'll take Brunch 7 days a week if they'd serve it to me...In fact we are going to Brunch again tomorrow as well - but Ill get to that tomorrow. Crossroads is LA's newest swank Hot Spot
Back to today, we are gonna be dining at Crossroads Kitchen, and then going up to Agoura Hills to do a little holiday visit with Dave's mom. After the visit we'll head over to Santa Monica 3rd street Promonade for some Christmas cheer and some Christmas shopping before heading back to go 'ol OC and finally taking Dominic to K1 to do some racing that he's been patiently waiting for.
At K1 Racing from Dominic's 16th birthday (c)travelincousins.com
As far as yesterday went, there was actually quite a bit accomplished...even including a hotel booking for the next August and the Total Eclipe. More on the event as we get closer, but just to tell you that if you have any intention of going to see this once in a lifetime event - then you should BOOK TODAY!!! I had such a difficult time finding accomodations and everything - I do mean everything in the center of the belt is already BOOKED. Ugh the frustration. But as I looked more into it, I found tours upon tours and visitors from around the world all coming to see this astrological event! I am truly looking forward to it, and yes I did find reservations. But like I said, I'll get into all of this as we get a bit closer.
We also hit up the Brea Mall and managed some more Christmas shopping. Christmas is quite magical in our household and the Christmas shopping and festiveness just doesn't end for us.
In addition to all of the above, I also managed to whip up a from scratch made Calzone and Pizza for dinner. Which was really loved by all (and that makes me happy); In fact Cosette was so happy and gets so passionate that she even crys over how much she loves when I make special meals. *She has even made the statement that these meals are really what brings the holidays home and that Christmas Day and the gifts are just a bonus!! Melts my heart<3
Anyhow, I've got a fun but busy weekend to have. I wish you the bestest & I'll be back to tell you more tomorrow!
