Perfectly Tanya Tanya's Daily Scoop CURRENTLY IN: ORANGE COUNTY, CALIFORNIA Hello and Howdy from the OC! How is everyone today? Did you know that I am the type of person who when I get sick of something, I don't want to even want to see it anymore? It's as if something just clicks and I have to be rid of said item. This recently happened with my iPad. I got annoyed with a function that it could not perform and THAT WAS IT. I just couldn't anymore! No longer could I have the iPad around. So I wiped it clean, brought it back to factory settings and gifted it to my mom. I then felt much better. But now I need a new iPad! LOLOL I get the same way when I want something. I definitely have an obsessive compulsive behavior. I obsess. Like crazy. I just have to have whatever it is and then once I have it I feel much better and can happily relax. AND NO, I do NOT have OCPD. What are the symptoms of OCPD?
Yeah I can be rigid and I do pay attention to and enjoy attention to detail. But I do not have any of the other symptoms. I guess, I'm in a catagory of my own! Perfectly me. Travelin' T What I do in my spare time (what spare time LOL)... I have been spending almost every available waking moment working on and finely tuning the pressing upcoming 3 trips - which will seriously be upon us in no time at all!
In addition, I do believe that there will be at least a couple of additional trips thrown in the mix there as well. All before November! Yikes, to think of all that is happening between now and Christmas. And then to think that Christmas is right around the corner and only a mere 4 months away. Am I getting carried away here? I really do need to start Christmas shopping...Well of course I actually already have,.but I need to get serious about this. Good thing I love shopping. Does anyone want Christmas gifts from any of my upcoming destinations? Have you know that I always bring back trip gifts to the fam bam anyhow. Am I on a rant here or what?! And I haven't even had any caffeine. LOL Where on earth did this year go?! Have I been I having just far too much fun to peek up and check the calendar?? LOL I'll be back later to fill you in on more. But I've gotta run for now. Ciao 4 now, -Travelin' Tanya | Night Out With The Long Island Ducks Elisa's Daily Scoop CURRENTLY IN: LONG ISLAND, NEW YORK Hi there!! Here on Long Island we have been having a whole bunch of rain, which I'm not horribly upset about since the past week was just so hot and humid. I'm happy that the trees, grass and plants got a break from the hot rays with some refreshing water! Having said that, my plans this week included going to a Long Island Ducks baseball game on Wednesday, and this is clearly not compatible with rain. We really weren't sure what would be, very much until the last minute. The night before (Tuesday), the game had been postponed due to the rain. Well, in the end the rain held off and I was able to go to the game!!! Not gonna lie - it was very damp out, but it was a super fun night! If you haven't heard of the Long Island Ducks, they are members of the Atlantic League of Professional Baseball, a Professional Partner League of Major League Baseball. Their home games are played at Fairfield Properties Ballpark in Central Islip, on Long Island, here in New York. The Ducks have welcomed over 8.5 million fans, hosted over 700 sellout crowds and won four ALPB championships since beginning play in April of 2000. I think this is pretty impressive! And what's more, these games are very affordable. With the current average price of $53 for a Major League Baseball ticket according to Seat Geek, baseball can be enjoyed at a Long Island Ducks game for about $20 per ticket. However my tickets tonight only cost me $11. Great deal for a fun night out of baseball entertainment! I was really happy that the weather cooperated so I was able to go to the game tonight. The LI Ducks were playing the Staten Island FerryHawks. Interestingly enough, I visited The Richmond County Bank Ballpark, home of the Staten Island Yankees at the time I visited. They were were a minor league baseball team located in the New York City borough of Staten Island from 1999 to 2020. The Staten Island FerryHawks are an American minor-league professional baseball team based in the New York City borough of Staten Island. They are a member of the North Division of the Atlantic League of Professional Baseball, like the Long Island Ducks, a "partner league" of Major League Baseball. They play their home games at The Staten Island University Hospital Community Park , formerly the Richmond County Bank Ballpark, the former home of the Staten Island Yankees, Since last night's game was rained out, there was a double header tonight. The Ducks' games are only seven innings instead of the MLB nine innings. ELISA AT THE LONG ISLAND DUCKS GAME COMING TO YOU FROM OUR SEATS BEHIND HOME PLATE The above photo was taken of the stadium screen at the game. Apparently, someone from the Ducks goes out at every game to find the dirtiest car! They announce their findings - a description of the car/plate number - and awards them a free car wash!! I thought this was a great promotion - very clever. BASES LOADED FOR THE DUCKS WILL THEY SCORE?? Well, the weather was certainly holding out as we made our way into the fourth inning. In fact, the game got a little exciting at the bottom of the 4th with the Ducks up at bat. They had the bases loaded, with Taylor Kohlwey up at bat. He was walked so the Ducks scored a point. Then, once again the bases were loaded . Unfortunately, the next batter, Zach Racusin struck out - too bad! Nonetheless, the Ducks were still winning 5 to 1 by the top of the 5th inning. It was a victory for the Ducks with a final score of 7 -1. Guys, I highly recommend seeing a Ducks game!! it's a great night out at a very affordable price right in Central Islip, Long Island! That was my hump day - see ya'll back here next time! -Travelin' Elisa |
