Hello there! Nothing too exciting on my part over here today. I had actually gone to Palm Springs yesterday but couldn't step outside for more than a minute since the temperature was 115F. Can you believe that we are already at the end of August?! Is this not the absolute FASTEST year ever??? Shortly after waking up yesterday I realized that I need to go Christmas shopping!! Funny thing is that when Cosette woke up, those were her exact thoughts as well! The holidays will be here before ya know it. Are kids gonna be going trick or treating with masks on their masks??? Hmm.. Boy oh boy, saying 2020 has been an odd year is a major understatement. And in Tanya travelin' news, I can't believe that I have not been out of the country all year! YIKES! Shocking and makes me sad. Of course as I'm sure you can imagine there have been a number of trips that I've had to cancel. But as far as my domestic trips, I have definitely been keeping busy and even in 2020, there has been no down time or time wasted. My next upcoming trip is to Moab... Of course for mountain biking! After that is our trip to Florida and to Disney World. And then 2 days after returning home from Florida, I will be off again and heading back to Sedona! This time I'm bringing my sis Jet, Andrew and Chaplin along for their first visit. My 9 year old niece Chaplin and I have been excitedly talking about and making our plans. I'll bring you more of each of these trips and all the little trips that fall in between in the blogs to come. For now I think I might head out and go Christmas shopping!! Tootles, -Travelin' Tanya | Hey there and Happy Hump Day! Things are doing great on this end - getting closer to the beginning of the school year! Yesterday I was crazed getting a bunch of ducks in a row for the kids' return. Confirming transportation service, making tuition payments and following up on school books. In the midst of all this, I took a ride through Point Lookout, Long Island where I enjoyed the loveliness of the sunshine against the backdrop of the blue water. I'd been wanting to capture some of the views of the scenic boats in the marina. Well, here they are!! If you haven't visited Point Lookout, it's quite a lovely little beach town. Actually, it is a hamlet and part of the town of Hempstead in the outer borough of Nassau County. The town is mostly made up of residential homes, and several small businesses on the main street, Lido Boulevard. In addition to year-round residents, Point Lookout is also a popular location for weekend and summer residences. Surrounded on three sides by water, it is quite scenic! It makes a nice destination for a daycation on the beach and a relaxing al fresco lunch or dinner! So, here we are, another Walt Disney World Wednesday. Today I decided to bring you an article, not written by me, but by NikkyJ, the owner of ThemeParkHipster. Disney World these days is anything but inexpensive. I wanted to chat today about all the things that visitors could do that are free. Then, lo and behold, as I was doing my research, I stumbled upon this wonderfully written article!
