CURRENTLY TRAVELING TO:
SALT LAKE CITY
Happy Friday Travels
I managed to get plenty done yesterday, but it wasn't without its disappointments, frustrations and surprises.
The surprise was that I had everything packed and ready to go with only a few things left to throw in our suitcases when I realized that I hadn't packed more than Dominic's jammies!!
And I was going to head out with just that! YIKES.
This poor kid wouldn't have anything but the clothes on his back...I'm glad I caught that one!
My disappointment was in a purchase that I had made way back in September and I just found out that the purchase was refused!
So here I was all excited about something and now I don't even have it.
One of the many hurdles a family of four traveling to Europe is faced with: European Hotel rooms - usually have a maximum occupancy of 2 (unless you can luck out and find a hotel with a "family room") and also minimum stays during the high period of the season is usually at least 1 week.
Luckily I did find and secure a property in Wengen, CH. (Yay!)
So I'm pretty happy about that.
The rest of the properties were all a bit ridiculous. I'm trying not to be too picky, but there are pretty much only three things that I'm being insistent on. And I'm finding that either places are already booked or they're not ready to book - I just wish there would a happy medium...AND SOON!
The rest of yesterday was spent at the stables celebrating Dream's 13th birthday.
I remember when he was just born, but it sure doesn't seem like yesterday to me.
It feels like it was months ago and when the caretaker told me how old he just turned, I was in shock!
It was the pretty much the longest month ever - my life must be on a fast forward or is it slo-mo. Whichever it is, it's something and not average, I'll tell ya that much!
Alrighty guys I've gotta get out of here!
