Hey there! Well, today my whole gang is very excited because Tanya, Dominic and Cosette are on their way to The Big Apple!! We probably won't be seeing much of them till next week, since they are visiting other relatives in New England this week. But, just knowing they are on the East Coast, is comforting!
We are back in Garden City as of last night, since Gianna starts day camp here in Nassau for two weeks. I have planned out a number of fun activities and places for me and Kelsey to visit together during this period, including playdates with her friends, spending time at the Garden City pool and a few day trips including The Planetarium at The Vanderbilt Museum.
TOWN OF WESTHAMPTON BEACH
Our week started off with a very lovely Sunday yesterday. My friend Denise and daughters Madison and Mia took a drive out East to spend the afternoon with us. We ventured into the town of Westhampton Beach together and went directly to Cafe Mambo for brunch Well, the verdict is in -- the crepes here are DEE-Lish! This little eatery is quite the food find. Though it's small inside, there is a nice outdoor area in the back with plenty of tables for a relaxin and laid back meal. It was a big decision for me (I kid you not) whether to get sweet or savory crepes; but in the end, I caved and went for the sweet - cinnamon crepes with whipped cream!!
In addition to a a sweet crepe, Denise also got a savory one with eggs and mixed veggies, which we shared.

THE GIRLS ALL SMILES ON THEIR WAY TO GET FRO YO
After downing a chocolate, strawberry crepe, Gianna did some major damage on the egg and veggie! So good! We will definitely be back here for sure!! I will be featuring on a future Foodie Friday as well.
Today I've got some errands to run and I'll have an impromptu day with Kelsey - maybe we'll hit the pool after Gianna gets home.
Can't wait to chat with Tanya --on the East Coast.
Enjoy your Monday!!! -E
East Coast here weeee Come!
Hey there, well it was quite an early morning for us. And we're not the type to hit the sack early just because we have an early morning; NO WAY! So with very few hours of sleep, we were on our way to Los Angeles International Airport (LAX). Flying into Philadelphia, because this is where we will spend our last weekend of this trip, we'll catch some grub at Govindas before hitting the road and making our way to NYC! We're all very excited about the trip and about seeing everyone again! Although Cosette did have a slight melt down yesterday and almost wanted to stay home! She was missing the horses quite terribly, and it really showed. Poor thing was so sad. But then it got a little too over the top. Luckily she came to her senses without any type of damage done (no restrictions for her, and I hadn't pulled any of the hairs out of my head!) This all begin after our Linner (lunch/dinner), when she realized that my sister wasn't going to the stables (because she was suppose to go along with her).
On a high note we celebrated National French Fry Day by ordering some Chili Cheese Fries! Yummy! So glad we all shared because as good as everything was, we stuffed ourselves so much that if we packed anything else into our bellies, someone would've had to roll us out of there!
Messy Vegan Chili Cheese Fries
Earlier in the day, as I had mentioned we had all gone to see "The Manor" in Beverly Hills, based on actual events, and performed at the legendary Greystone Mansion. It was thoroughly enjoyed by all, and the kids really had a fantastic time! If I get a chance one night during our trip I will definitely write a review on this one! So entertaining and much fun!
Having some pre-show Vegan Frozen Yogurt!
Well, I'm gonna keep it short and sweet for today. I'll catch you back here reporting from the East Coast tomorrow!
