Tanya's Daily Scoop
NEXT TRIP DEPARTS IN: 3 DAYS
Back on the range for now
The kids are beat. Cosette is napping. The trip was a lot of work.
I can happy say that it was all worth it, but the 2 weeks that we were gone seemed so very much longer. Each day seemed like 2. We were busy. We had a great time, but it was a busy time. And with lots-o-lots-o DRIVING.
I drove just about 4,000 miles on this trip - I didn't even drive cross country!
And now whaddya think I'm doing???
I'm mapping out the trip that it inspired (with the help of one of Dave's bucket list trips - following each of the USPS National Park Stamps locations from 1934 and mailing a postcard from each location).
It looks like I'll be on the road for about a month or so in total. Also crossing off something that I've always wanted to do - driving across Canada!!
7 years away, this 2024 trip will be more than twice as much driving, but it will be spread out over twice as long - so I guess that is about the same.
Maybe Dave and I will take turns driving for that one?!
While I know that I have got a ton of things to catch up on. Today is not the day. I've got to take care of a few errands and get back into the swing of things, only just to leave again on Saturday morning. We aren't going too far or for too long, but it is time for Bike the Bay - and boy do I need to get back in the saddle of my workout routine.
A Weekend in San Diego
But for now let's take a looksie at yesterday's road trip from Reno, Nevada to Anaheim, California
I felt energized the entire way home. But once I got home, caught up with the fam bam, emptied some of the bags from the van, and finally sat down to have dinner (I asked Dave to pick up some take out, as I knew I wouldn't be up to cooking), I was then POOPED.
Exhaustion hit me once again and I couldn't wait to change out of my day clothes, into my nightwear and snuggle up for bed time.
But alas I slept off the exhaustion and am ready and rearing to go all over again!
Catch ya back here tomorrow for more updates.
