Getting Close to New Year'sHi there! Only 2 days left to 2014!!! Seems kind of surreal to me. Year's end is neither an end nor a beginning but a going on, with all the wisdom that experience can instill in us. | Gonna enjoy the last of 2014Welcome to a new week! And the Last Monday of the year! Yup in a few short days we will be ringing in 2015! New Year's Day was my dear beloved Grandmother's birthday and New Year's Eve happens to be my mom's birthday, so for us it has always meant more family celebration! This year we're all dressing up and doing our holiday pictures on NYE! We also have dinner reservations at an Italian Restaurant in Mission Viejo that has been recommended to me from several people with rave reviews... I'm the pickiest one in the bunch - so I'll be the judge and at this point can only say...We shall see! As for today... Well it'll actually be a rather mellow day. I'm gonna run to a few stores, and later take Dominic to an extra class that he usually cannot attend (due to Choir rehearsal - but they are on break right now). I'm also semi prepping to leave for our first ski trip of the season the Ski Utah & Tahoe Road Trip, which we will first be heading to the beautiful Lake Tahoe in just 8 days! Yesterday went fairly well... We had gone up to Santa Monica for a nice brunch at RFD (Real Food Daily), and then drove further up north to Agoura Hills to visit and drop off Christmas gifts to Dave B's mother. While there, I had to put in a call to Apple and the call lasted over 2 hours! UGH!!! Causing us to stay quite a bit longer than we had planned... We still had to make a quick stop at a specialty Vegan store (back in Santa Monica), run into Macy's (in Costa Mesa) for a quick exchange, and go to Mother's (local) for juicing ingredients. Then home to whip together dinner...and all before going to the movies (that had been reschedule from Saturday night). We managed to do it all! Whew! Now to go play with some of my new toys!! Have a Great Day, and if you are working, I hope that it's a short work week for you and that you get another extra long weekend to enjoy! -T |
