Tanya's Daily Scoop CURRENTLY TRAVELING IN: LAS VEGAS
Well HELLO Sin City...
Greetings from the Road as we make our way to Las Vegas, Nevada!
We were leaving just about on schedule this morning when my elbow brushed up against my breakfast of Grapefruit juice that was sitting on the center console and SPLASH it went, I knocked it over on to the drivers seat!
Luckily Dave (who is the Driver for this trip) wasn’t quite in his seat yet, because I would’ve really been pissed at the situation if I had got him all sticky and soaked with Grapefruit juice!
Instead, I reacted quickly and caught the tumbler before it had emptied completely, had Dominic run back into the house for some paper towels and the seat was cleaned in a matter of minutes.
We were then on our way! On the road with all of the dirt bikers, atvs and other sand vehicles - this must be prime time for those guys to get their weekend started!
So there I was last night in a total conundrum… I desperately needed to wash my hair, should’ve washed my hair during the (quite busy) daytime hours. There I was with icky hair and leaving for Vegas first thing in the morning.
SIDE NOTE: I’m not entirely sure that woman still use the excuse that they are washing their hair, but back in the day THAT was an excuse why they couldn’t go out… I had always wondered about that... How Long Could it Possibly Take to Wash Your Hair?
Fast forward to being an adult and having difficult hair - I can totally see that being an excuse. While not an excuse that I choose to use - I HATE EXCUSES. Hair can be such a headache. Maybe that’s why so many of these “older” women chop theirs off?
So my problem was that I did not want to go to Vegas with “BAD” hair. I don’t blow dry, so that isn’t ever an option. I do straightened on occasion, but not on freshly cleaned hair. What was I to do???
Well at 1:30 in the morning, I decided that I should wash my hair, and go to bed with it wet - it should be all dry by the time we arrive into Las Vegas. My hair takes FOREVER to dry! We’ll see how I look in the pictures today (which will be posted in tomorrow’s Daily Scoop).
Well like I said, yesterday was a BUSY day. I started the day off by waiting outside of the Huntington Beach location of Sports Chalet waiting for them to open.
While I can’t say what I got (Christmas), I can say that I was successful! Then after more running around I went home to gather the kids…
I was taking them bowling. Although only Dominic and I bowled, as Cosette was saving her energy for her dance rehearsal (still not quite feeling 100% - but much better). Dominic and I bowled a not so bad game (for us), and the first game was Dominic’s best game ever! Needless to say that the beat me!
The second game wasn’t too bad either, but I edged him out. lol
After bowling I couldn’t resist going into a nearby clothing boutique. I found a lovely blouse (that will make it’s debut tomorrow - so it’ll be in Monday’s Daily) and I found a beautiful item for someone for Christmas…Cosette really loved the item as well, and asked if it could be from her. And that is the plan.
Then after sitting in a ton of traffic we went to go pick Dave up and then head out to Long Beach, we munched on appetizer snacks from Veggie Grill and then headed over to the kids dance rehearsal. Once that was over, the to do list still had things to check off and so we stopped at Best Buy and Target.
Getting home and finally gathering the last of the items to pack, and of course washing my hair!

Elisa's Daily Scoop NEXT TRIP DEPARTS IN: 20 DAYS
Welcome to the weekend!! Somehow the weekends are so much more enjoyable during the school year.
Even getting up earlier is more enjoyable since it's generally for something fun.
Today, the girls got off to riding and I headed back home to do some bike riding. Yesterday was a super fun day!! The start of a 4-day weekend! I finally made it to the gym yesterday for an early morning class.
I need to get back on a schedule as I feel so good after I exercise. I plan to be more diligent about getting there regularly.
Me and sissy, Danielle at Press 195 in Rockville Centre last night for dinner
For the rest of the afternoon, we headed over to my sister's house so the kids could go in the pool again. Me and sissy caught up on a few business projects that we are working on together.
My original plan was to head out to Remsenburg early so I could go to the Saddlery in Calverton to get Gianna a new helmet.
Instead, I opted to find a horse riding supply store locally and buy the helmet there. A helmet and two pairs of socks cost me $199!!! Crazy.
Later on, me and Danielle took our two older kids (Gianna & Nolan) out to dinner. The two little ones went out shopping for a few hours with Grandma.
A quick dinner at Press 195 in Rockville Centre and then we went next door to Ralph's Ices for some good, yummy, frozen, sweet goodness!!

This weekend in Westhampton, there is an Art Show on Main Street. I will be heading over there at some point either later this afternoon or tomorrow.
It couldn't be a better weather day for walking an outdoor event!!
