We got here yesterday & I even squeezed in a pre-flight mani/pedi for myself and Cosette!
I was quite happy that everything went according to plan (thank goodness) and we had a wonderful flight.
At the terminal, waiting to board our flight.
Not too sure about the blue lighting!
We're almost there!!!
And off to pick up supplies and grab some grub!
Kombutcha on tap!!!
We stopped for dinner at Down to Earth Cafe for an assortment of vegan bites!
Arrival to Hawaii = Thrilled kids!!!
On our list for today, we are looking forward to a lovely fresh breakfast of Acai Bowls from the highly rated Farmacy Health Bar in Wailuku, after nourishing ourselves we are heading to the Maui Tropical Plantation, where the views will just take our breath away.
Andwe'll learn how sugarcane & pineapples grow while on the tram ride tour at this tropical working farm.
While there we will also watch some live demonstrations including one of locals making coconut milk. Of course there is the tropical gardens as well, where the motto is
"Not a Theme Park - A Dream Park"!
After our time spent at the Tropical Plantation we'll keep in mind that it's Shoppin' Saturday and go Shop/Stroll/Sightsee on the famous Front Street in Lahaina
Lunch will be at the very yummy Pad Thai Restaurant in Lahaina (which I found and loved on our last visit to Maui in 2013).
Treat is at Gelato at One Gelato Company - offering vegan Gelato amongst the rest of their yummy selection!
By this time of the day we will finally go and check into our villa (TBA) in Ka'anapali.
If there happens to be any extra time, I'll give the kids some Pool Time, but we have to prep for our night at the Luau!
Tons of AMAZING pictures tomorrow and The Road to Hana! - Subscribe and don't miss out!

Back in the Saddle
Good morning folks!
I had some personal stuff that needed my attention yesterday and needed to take a little hiatus. Thanks to my best cuz, Tanya, who took over yesterday! And for the well wishes!!
Today, I'm coming to you from Westhampton Beach this morning, as my girlies are horseback riding today.
Yay!!! Fall is here and the air is so crisp and lovely! I'm wearing boots again!! Love it!!
As you probably know from reading Tanya's blog yesterday, I was (unfortunately) forced to cancel our little excursion to Connecticut this weekend.
One thing I like to pride myself on is my ability to go with the flow and be flexible when plans are forced to change.
I guess that is part of life and the more relaxed one is when life throws you a curve ball, the easier it is to recognize when new doors open that you never expected. Well, that's the way I look at it anyway.
Having said that, I was disappointed that my weekend travel plans got cancelled. I wish I could say the same for my kids. They have been so into horseback riding that they were actually tickled pink when I told them we were not going away and would be able to head to the barn.
I won't lie -- knowing they love their sport so much and are so dedicated to it, makes me very happy.
I'm rather jealous right now of Tanya, Cosette and Dominic being in Hawaii!!! If you remember, I tried very hard to make this trip work for my gang, so I could join our cousins. But, with school, and the limited time, coupled with the cost with booking so late, I had opted to do some local weekend trips in lieu of Hawaii.
I have not lost hope about joining Tanya for one or more road trips. Our road trips together are ALWAYS so much fun!!!!
So, here's what I'm thinking about for the kids' upcoming school vacations. They are off for Christmas break for over a week and then they have another week in February during Presidents' week.
The kids want to go to Florida (of course) to see Grandma and Grandpa. Believe it or not, I'm actually thinking of going to the Sunshine State for both of these vacations. Once there, I will probably do a little traveling to Miami or perhaps the Florida Keys. More on that in the coming weeks!!
As far as Easter break (which comes rather early this coming year), I have not as yet planned that out. I will surprise you with what I'm thinking shortly.

Well, since today is Saturday, I thought I would talk about SHOPPING!!
This week, I made a few delightful purchases. Next to shoes, I LOVE jeans!! Who doesn't! And this week, I purchased two pairs of jeans!
They are so versatile! You can wear them as casual as can be or you can dress them up and go out for a great evening!
Here are a few of my favorite brands: Lucky Brand - These jeans fit great and I'm totally in love with the grunge ripped jeans that are in style! They tend to be on the more expensive side, but for a pair here or there, I think their fit is great.
Old Navy Rockstar Jeans - By far, Old Navy brands are one of my favorites!! I love the fit, the styles they have and the price!!! The Rockstar brand, I have in many colors and the low-rise is very comfortable, particularly for a short stature gal like myself!
Of course, these are only two of the brands I love. I can walk into almost any store and find a fun pair of jeans that tickle my fancy!
Jeans are a staple for ANY and ALL trips I take, regardless of the time of year or the destination!
