Of course if you've been keeping up with our antics, you know that Dave, the kids and I all competed in the Gladiator Rock'N Run on Saturday.
And then spent part of the day yesterday going to see a matinee - we saw Everest the Movie, based on the real events of the 1996 Mount Everest disaster, staring Jake Gyllenhaal and Josh Brolin.
Cosette decided a long time ago that she had no interest in seeing this movie, and had even went to the extent of not wanting me to go and see it! LOL
So it was Dave, Dominic, and myself at the theater.
We then did a bit of shopping, and I although we were planning to go get a bite, I wanted to be home in time to watch the 2nd game of the MLB NLCS - Cubs @ Mets. So instead, we picked up some supplies that we could eat as we watch the Mets beat the Cubs with a score of 4-1.
I gotta say that although I am a diehard Yankees fan, if the Mets are playing any other team then I will usually root for them "Go NY!" And typically I am more of an American League Baseball fan, but with this situation and the Cubs being in the post season for the first time since 2008 and not winning a World Series since 1908, I have a soft spot for the Cubbies and it's kinda hard to root against them!
So I guess for the 2015 MLB World Series that I'll be rooting for the National League one way or the other!
Tonight the kids have choir rehearsal as usual, and then I was thinking of maybe going to see another true story made into a movie:
We shall see...
Then I'll be back here to talk travel with you in tomorrow's edition of TRAVELIN TUESDAY...so much on the horizon!!!

So Much to Tell This Week
Hello and welcome to a new week!!
Did you enjoy your weekend? Well, all I can say is how thrilled I am with the amazing weather we've been having here in New York, and particularly on Long Island!!
I am very excited about the coming week! I have so much to tell you about.
I'm hoping to get a few more trips on the Calendar for the coming year, one of which I just booked for Christmas week - Boca Raton, Florida.
Because my parents live their half the year, Florida is an annual trip for us. This time, however, my friend Lisa and her daughter, Sarah, will be there the same time. I'm going to plan out a fun itinerary for us!
As you know, I've also been working on my Sicily trip as well. Hoping to have a few things to say about that on Travelin' Tuesday.
For W2GW, I'll be chatting about some spooktacular things happening locally in New York City and Long Island for Halloween! Can't wait to share!
This week is my turn to feature Throwback Thursday. With my recent trip to Lancaster last weekend, I was reminded of my very first trip to the Amish Country, when I was in my mid-twenties. It was with my Mom, Dad and sister and there are some funny anecdotes from this trip which I'm hoping to entertain you with!
I have to apologize as I have a few stories in the works that I have yet to publish. The include:
> Entertainment Review of An American in Paris: "An American in Paris on the Broadway Stage"
> My Recent Visit to Grand Central: "Grand Central - A Must-See Tour Visit in NYC"
> "Horsin' Around on Long Island at Dream Come True Farm"
My goal is to get these features up on the blog this week.
Other than that, I finally ordered tickets for School of Rock on Broadway today. The kids are flipping out excited about going to see it!! Can't lie - so am I!!
