Hello to you! What’s happening today? Well, I am writing to you from my home today. As it turns out, something about today was just not meant to be with us going to the barn.
Since Kelsey was home sick from school yesterday, I was not going to take her riding today. Originally, Gianna was going to catch a ride with her friends from Brooklyn that also ride on Saturday, so that i could stay at home with Kelsey, but they didn’t end up going.
Then, I arranged for childcare, but my sitter texted me this morning telling me she had a stomach virus during the night. So, I was pretty much stuck and took it as a sign that things just weren’t meant to be for us to go out East to Dream Come True.
Kelsey was still pushing to go - “oh, I feel so much better.” But, she didn’t sound at all better and was coughing through the night. Gianna was disappointed, but with next weekend being Memorial Day weekend, I promised the kids we would do two days of riding to make up for not going this weekend.
What a great day for Tanya - she is in Lisbon, Portugal today...for the very first time!!!
Her agenda looks really fun for today and includes: - Rua Augusta Arch - Park and National Palace of Pena - Quinta da Regaleira
I cannot wait to hear all about it tomorrow.
Definitely catch her blog today to read about her first day of vacay in Boston yesterday, A Taste of Boston.

Wow - I LOVED reading about her experience at the The Mapparium at The Mary Baker Eddy Library!!
Awe! Cuz, I wish I was there with you guys and my girlies!! For all you folks, wondering why we make such a big deal about this place - this is what it is...
The Mapparium, is a three-story-tall, stained-glass globe made of stained glass that is viewed from a 30-foot-long bridge through its interior.
According to the Mary Baker Eddy Library website: The Mapparium’s three-dimensional perspective of the world of 1935 is enhanced by A World of Ideas, an original presentation that features a rich orchestration of words, music, and LED lights to illustrate how ideas have traversed time and geography and changed the world.
Back to today...I have lots of stuff to do around the house so it was a good thing I am home today.

I'm thinking of doing something fun tomorrow... “New York on Location” is a day-long street fair in Astoria that will allow people to go inside more than 20 working movie trailers and trucks that have recently been used for shooting films.
This event will take residents behind the scenes of movie production.
Hosted by the Museum of the Moving Image, Theatrical Teamsters Local 817, I.A.T.S.E. Local 52 and Kaufman Astoria Studios, movie professionals will congregate in Astoria to educate attendees on the ins and outs of their jobs.
The event will take place on from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Kaufman Astoria Studios backlot on 36th Street between 34th and 35th Avenues, the Museum of the Moving Image at 36-01 35 Ave. and surrounding streets.
Admission to the Museum of the Moving Image will also be free all day.
I'll keep you posted as to how it works out depending on how my little Kelsey feels. However, at this point, I may just get a sitter so I can go!
That's it for today!!
Tanya's Daily Scoop CURRENTLY TRAVELING IN: LISBON
Boston Recap from Lisbon
Greetings from Lisbon!! Wow guys, touchdown - I'm here... And for the very first time!
Now it's time to paint the town and check out the sights.
Here's what's on the agenda for today: Day 2: Lisbon & Sintra, Portugal Activities - Rua Augusta Arch Park and National Palace of Pena Quinta da Regaleira
This is so cool & I'm ready and rearing to go!
As you can see, there's lots to look forward to and good reason for you to come back tomorrow when I'll be sharing all of today's SCOOP!
But as for now, take a looksie at how yesterday went:
We spent a most lovely day in Boston on Friday, and it was seriously like a Taste of Boston and may I add on a most beautiful spring day. In fact, that is exactly what it was!
While this happened to be only Dave's second visit to Boston, it was our countless visit. That should tell you how much we enjoy Boston!
It was quite a wonderful day that happened to go even better than expected - and those are the BEST! We started out by heading to good Ol' Fenway Park to secure tickets for our planned tour of the historic ballpark.
Next up was a delicious brunch at a place that we go every single visit (Veggie Galaxy) but yet somehow was better than ever before! Yum! And you can bet that although we were quite full - we still got some of their awesome desserts and vegan Frappes to go!
It was then time to make our way to the Mapperium at the Mary Eddy Baker Museum - which I gotta say was pretty dang darn cool!
I wish Elisa could've experienced it along side of me - she would've loved it. Plus she is after all the one who first shared this sight with all of us when she was taking the girls to Boston back in November of 2015. I hadn't known anything about it prior to her research. Thanks cuz!
The only problem was that it wasn't open in November during her visit. That really sucked, and I could feel her pain.
The only thing that I super uper duper didn't like was the fact that no photographs are allowed. Boo. Hiss. Thumbs down.
So of course I had to get the guidebook and Dave got the postcard. And then once we had finished wandering through the public areas of the Mary Eddy Baker Library, the weather was still just so lovely that we couldn't help but stroll around the inviting reflection pool snap snap snapping away!
It was then time to head on back to Fenway Park for our extra special pre game tour, and some pre tour shopping! Dinner was in Boston's Historic North End at the lovely Italian restaurant Gennaro's, which happens to even be on the freedom trail and only a couple of doors down from Paul Revere's home! I gotta say that I always thoroughly enjoy North End - Keeping up with the times they even have a full separate Vegan menu along with an old world traditional menu.
Hey Folk, this is Elisa -- Tanya is traveling in Portugal right now and lost internet connection She will add more later!!!
