Thursday already??? Wow, the week is flying by. What's more, it's been pretty delicious outside here on Long Island for the past few days and from what the Weatherman is saying, we are in for some snow and frigid temps tomorrow and over the weekend.
NO!!! I want it to stay mild! Oh well, I'm sure I'll be missing the chilly temps when I'm sweating in July and August!
Last night was the kids STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) Fair.
The girls worked very hard, as did all the students grades 5th through 8th. I always enjoy walking through these exhibitions to see just how smart these young kids are and I was not disappointed at all!
Thinking back... I woke up this morning for some reason, remembering that March is the month when Macaron Day NYC has traditionally taken place.
In searching the internet, I was unable to find anything definitive except for one site, Explara.com, which stated:
"The 8th annual Macaron Day in NYC on March 20th, 2017 from 10am-5pm. Buy a gift, give a donation, a portion of all macaron sales will be donated to City Harvest in an effort to fight hunger and raise awareness."
However, there was no link or information about which retailers and bakeries were participating this year. The Event has traditionally had its own website - which does not appear to be the case this year - with a full listing of those participating stores.
Wow, I remember the fun we had back in March, 2015!! Click the link below to read all about it. In fact, we also VLOGGED at each location!!

Tanya's Daily Scoop NEXT TRIP DEPARTS IN: 11 DAYS
Around the world in my head
Well HELLOOOOO Thursday!
I've officially been home a full week and I am already over-whelmed...
THIS IS NOT A BAD THING.
I am just overwhelmed with all the places to go that are on my list and when I'm going to put them on the calendar and where to fit them!
HERE'S WHAT'S ON MY MIND:
I know that ski season isn't quite over yet - storm after storm continues to pummel the Tahoe and Mammoth area. BUT I'm thinking ahead (as per usual) and about next ski season. Because well honestly although this has been an amazing season and one to go down in the records - it hasn't been even close to my best season.
Skiing and snow sports are ridiculously hard to plan ahead for - which I do best.
And I've been either hit with too much snow or rain on more of my "ski" days than actually hitting the slopes! So it's been more or less a tease of a season.
I suppose I've had to "Weather the Storms" HA. For more of my hilariously funny jokes dial 1-800-NOT-REALLY-THAT-FUNNY
So as you know I will be heading out in one last attempt when I go to Park City, Utah & Lake Tahoe, Nevada - so keep your fingers crossed for me to get a few more good days on the slopes!
DO YOU REALIZE that I haven't skied on domestic slopes yet for the 2017 season?! I know...it's crazy!
And back to what I was saying - next winter - I want to head back to Vail & Breckenridge Colorado - the kids will also "insist" on this trip (or be very disappointed if this doesn't happen). *We usually do this trip either once a year or once every 2 years.

Another place I really want to get back to is Banff, Canada. Home of 2 of my favorite ski resorts (Sunshine Village and Lake Louise). I've been trying to get this back on my calendar and have not had much luck squeezing it in. Hopefully I can find a place for it next winter!

Of course we'd be going back to Lake Tahoe - which is a given. I'd probably even squeeze Park City in there somewhere (although I'm not 100% sure).
I'd love to get up to Whistler, BC if possible.
Then of course you know our plans of spending St. Patrick's Day 2018 in Ireland! This is sure to be an amazing trip and also the first time the kids will visiting beautiful Ireland (of which they have heritage on their dad's side of the family).

The only thing is that when I do a trip that is not about skiing in the ski season - it takes away from time on the slopes. So typically I prefer to fill my winters with ski destinations, but it that doesn't always happen that way.
Of course my mind has also been on putting together next year's Germany/Poland/Austria trip and working on the finishing touches for Hawaii.
But then I start thinking about Tuscany and about Sorrento (one of my fave places in Italy).

And about the Azores and going back to the mainland of Portugal. Plus we all know that we must go back to Barcelona - what an amazing time we had - after this happened:
