I've got a BIG day ahead of me with all the stops and running around that I left myself for today!
I actually enjoy this type of stuff and am looking quite forward to it... Dave, on the other hand who will escort me on our shopping adventure is not much of a fan.
I didn't end up hitting the stores with my mom yesterday, instead Jet, Chaplin, and Brigitte went.
They were still on the hunt for their Easter wear... The color for this year was (is suppose to be) Baby Blue. Well, it seems that without me there as a color guide these ladies forgot what Baby Blue looked like and came home with ROYAL BLUE!
Not only that, but while they were out and about there was a bit of DRAMA on the home-front...
A certain brother of mine (I only have one) is not and hasn't been the most friendly with me for quite a few years. Anyhow, he is also currently quite angry with his EX who happens to be my niece's mother. Long story short, I was doing my hair, the ringer on my phone was off and I was ignoring the landline as it rang off the hook!
Finally I told Dominic to go take a look at the Caller ID, he did and it was a toll free number. Meanwhile Cosette is telling my that my phone is vibrating and then as weird as it sounds, she brings me Dominic's iPod as it was also RINGING (I've never seen that before). I didn't recognize the number and I answered it... Apparently that was a BIG MISTAKE.
It was my brother's EX and there was a situation with my niece. Of course I wanted to help in any way possible - but my dear brother doesn't allow for such things.
One thing led to the next and many phone calls later I get word from my mother that my brother is seetheringly mad at me for taking the original call!
Anyhow, I'm not gonna worry about it - it was, is and always will be ridiculous!
So once my hair was done, I went to the "New" Nail Salon (because my normal gal was sick).
I took a seat, chose a color - which by the way, they had more colors then I have ever seen...it was super cool and almost overwhelming!!
I sat there and let the girls have away with my nails. I continued to sit there as the rest of the customers came and went. The salon closed at 7pm and the last customer left around 7:30p. Not me.
Ya see I can be a picky person, and sure things have to be to my liking. BUT the gals had forgot what I came in for and were finishing up without performing that service!
So as bad as I felt, I had to speak up - I mean, I need my nails to look good for Easter (and my upcoming trip). So between my pickiness, and their mistake - it was the 2.5 hour manicure and I didn't walk out of there until 8:30pm!!!
But when I came out of there with GREAT looking nails!
So, enough about me, what about you... How are you doing? Are you ready for Easter?
I should be by the end of the day...time for me to run!
Catch ya back here for Easter, -T
