Here we are at Hump Day! I can’t really tell if the week is going fast or at a regular pace.
Monday felt like a long day because of Gianna’s mouth surgery. Yesterday, I took care of a lot of housekeeping issues with our site. And here I am mid-week.
Tonight I’m heading into the city with Danielle to see Kinky Boots.
We’re training’ it in - who needs to worry about driving and parking and the hassle of driving!
We’ll start off the evening with dinner at L’YBane - a mediterranean favorite of mine. Can’t wait to get some pics of the delicious food for a future Foodie Friday!!
After satiating ourselves, which Danielle and I LOVE to do, we’ll walk over to the theatre. I’m a little late in seeing this show - it actually won the Tony for Best Musical back in 2013, but in any case, I’ll be giving my two cents about it next Monday for our Entertainment segment.
W2GW (Where to Go Wednesday) I feel like Tanya is going to blow me away with this segment today since she is away in the Azores exploring new places and finds. But, I’m going to forge ahead anyway!!

Back to my day... The rest of my day is going to be filled with trying to organize my house! I have just accumulated so much STUFF in my house over the past 17 years since we moved in that I'm about ready to scream!
How does that happen? I guess the more space you have, the more you take up!
Although I will say, my kids tell me I'm the most organized hoarder they know!
I started doing a little "hauling" yesterday when Danielle was over briefly. I filled up one large plastic kitchen bag and I have a growing "donation pile."
I tried to do this in the Fall, but somehow I didn't get that far and with the traveling over the past few months, school, activities, working on the blog, I just let it all go. Now, I have to get serious with it!!
So, I'll see if I can make a few baby steps worth of progress before the kids get home from school and I have to start getting ready to head into the city to dinner and the theatre.
Ok folks - off I go!! Here's to a great day!!

Tanya's Daily Scoop
Let's go on an Adventure!
Olá (oh-la) / Hello!
*Portuguese is a Romance language closely related to Spanish and the official language of over 250 million people in Portugal, Brazil, Mozambique, Angola, Guinea-Bissau, and more.
Here are some of the pictures from our wonderful journey with Rui of Azores Private Tours. (Again having wifi issues and will upload more pics ASAP)
Azores Private Tours is definitely one of the BEST W2GW (Where to Go Wednesday) ideas for here on the Sao Miguel! But in all honesty, it's more of a where to go on anyway of the week...definitely not limited to Wednesday.
We saw sights such as, but were not limited to:
Salto do Cavalo Viewpoint Salto da Farinha Viewpoint Ribeira dos Caldeirões Garden/Waterfall Nordeste Village Ermida Da Nostra Senhora De Paz (from a distance) Ponta do Sossego Viewpoint Ponta da Madrugada Viewpoint Povoação Village
Rui, had even showed us some "secret" places that only the locals know about!! For now, I will post some pictures and very soon I will be posting a full blog about our explorations here in the Beautiful Azores!
Today our day will begin with a drive to Porta Delgada (pretty sure I know the exact way to get on to the highway by now), to meet our tour guides at Picos de Aventura. They will drive us out to Lagoa Das Furnas and our activities will begin with us Canoeing in Lagoa das Furnas.
During the canoeing tour it will be possible to make a small stop and appreciate the volcanic phenomena in the form of fumaroles and calderas with boiling water.
Due to the volcanic activity, the locals cook in the ground the traditional Portuguese Cozido (stew). After lunch (not quite sure what they are planning on feeding us...) Next comes a guided bike tour around the lake we just canoed in!
Should with no doubt be a very fun filled day!! Which you'll read and enjoy pictures all about our day... In tomorrows SCOOP!
