Did everyone remember to Spring Forward last night?
I suppose as long as you are living in the 21st Century that you don't really NEED to remember - because your "devices" will remind you and even set themselves!!
I really don't mind Springing Forward, to me it's really no different than traveling to the next time zone - easy to adjust to! And I actually do appreciate the extra hour of daylight...more daylight hours to do things it!! I'm all about maxing out a day :) So were you one to wake up bright eyed and bushy tailed, or are you one of those who needs a few buckets of coffee before you become human again?
Personally I love a GOOD cuppa coffee, but I rarely ever have a cup in the morning and don't ever use it to WAKE UP or for energy.
I won't drink instant and I am NOT A FAN of that coffee shop that's on every corner and everyone seems to love...
But to each his/her own and there must be something addicting about the over priced, over sweet, burnt tasting drinks that they are pouring.
Anyhow enough about that, I don't even know why I started that RANT!
As you know, yesterday I went over to the Natural Products Expowest, and it was MASSIVE!
WOW! So freakin HUGE!
There was just no way to be able to cover all of the floors in one day or even in the four days that the convention is there.
I had some meetings and appointments throughout the day, so of course that kept me quite busy.
Then with all of the new products, mingling, touring, sampling, and networking I couldn't believe how FAST the day had passed, and before I knew it, it was 6pm and time to call it a day!
I'll have a full page on the event, along some of the new products, and of course all of my favs from the show in the upcoming weeks.
But as for today I'll let you guys have a quick sneak peek:
Boy was I wiped when I finally left the building. There was just SOOOO MUCH!
So needless to say, I wasn't really up for grocery shopping and then making dinner, so Dave had suggested Sage Cafe in Culver City - Great Idea!!
We invited my mom (who drove me a bit crazy to say the least) and along with that insisted that I crop her out of the picture - the women in my family can be that way about pics...
Anyhoo, Cosette was also with us and had taken the picture (she should've just been in it instead of the one insisting to be cropped out!)
It was apparent through the ordering process that I must've been tired - because I had no clue what to order and I start "going out on a limb" and ordering things that I WOULD NEVER have any interest in whatsoever! So darn DUMB of me.
And that there is the SCOOP about my Saturday! I plan to head back to the convention again today and gather lots more information, hitting up new booths and hopefully running into a few folks that I know and had missed yesterday.
I hope that you have a GREAT Sunday doing whatever it is that you do!
I'll catch ya back here tomorrow with more SCOOP. -T
Elisa's Daily Scoop NEXT TRIP DEPARTS IN: 7 DAYS
Happy Daylight Savings!!!
I have to tell you that these days it's a lot easier to SPRING forward since all of our devices automatically re-adjust themselves.
However, I do want to tell you that I forgot when I woke up and thought, "how did I sleep so late!!"
So, my day got started a bit later. NO worries, however, because I still managed to go for a very long walk and come back an make a delicious banana bread. It's cooking as I write my scoop!
My Banana Bread baking!
Yesterday was a great day at the barn!!
Both girls did amazing. Gianna really handled All-Star wonderfully and did some great jumps! At one point, Gianna was doing a right lead course, meaning she was making all right turns. When she first got her lead (because All Star's right lead is really weak) All Star switched it.
She tried to get it back but ended up picking up the wrong lead. Gianna and All Star did the first line great and did a lead change after the line, the the next line was quite difficult because he was going pretty fast.
The bumpiness of his canter threw her off balance and resulted in her losing both her stirrups over the jump. He felt the stirrup and started turning, but Gianna stopped him and got him under control! The end! Thank goodness no falls! whew!
There was also a super nice surprise yesterday at the barn - System Ready gave birth to a baby girl on Friday. This little baby was the cutest thing ever!!
New Baby Girl Born Friday Morning at Dream Come True Farm
What made this a more happier event is that "Cranberry," another mare at the barn, was in labor last Saturday when we were leaving.
We found out tragic news the next day that there were complications with the baby's birth and both mother and baby died. I cannot tell you how devastated I was! Nature is so unpredictable and life is so precious.
So, this new little life was celebrated that much more with joy.
I'm so excited about Tanya's visit to the Natural Products Expo West yesterday! Looked very exciting!
Don't forget to read all about it. <<<<----<<<<----<<<<----<<<<
