Tanya's Daily Scoop TRIP COUNTDOWN Next Trip Begins In: 2 Days
What's up with that??
Hiya! Welcome Back!
Thursdays are always pretty cool, it's close enough to the weekend to get excited and then toss in some TBT (Throwback Thursday)and BAM the FUN has begun!
San Diego - circa 1988
Yesterday was nothing too special over in these parts, however there was a bit of drama with the horse trainer...she lost her marbles!
Let's just say that once our package has been fulfilled, we are moving on! We have 2 lessons to go. Today and next week and then I am outta there! Sorry no referrals this time. Life is too short to deal with Bull Crap so why even bother??? Know what I mean?
The rest of my day was pretty much filled with organization both physically and electronically. And taking care of things that have been on the long version of my "TO DO" list. Feels really good to get some of these things OFF of my list!
Dominic had class in the evening and while Dave and I were sitting there "watching" him (I watch and read). We were going through some of my favorite types of books - TRAVEL - you knew that! Looking at some of these books and seeing some of the pictures really inspire me to add certain experiences to my plans, how many experiences I've already had, and how awesome it is to fulfill your dreams!
Which for some of you may be travel, and for others not so much so.
One commercial that I keep hearing in the background (as I'm hardly ever in front of the TV), is the MasterCard Vacation Days one stating that over 400 million vacation days go unused every year. So I just have to pipe in here...That number is 400,000,000! And the little kid says "that the stupidest thing I ever heard". Well guess what kid, I'm with you on that one! WTH Really?!
I sure hope that there is an error, like a really HUGE one in that calculation.
Because heck if vacationing is not your thing that's fine, but DON'T let your days go to waste!!! They are YOUR days! You may have a job, but you are no one's SLAVE.
Take your days people - stay home if you want, sleep them away for all I care. But DON'T let YOUR days go to waste working them away! So ridiculous.
Anyhow once we got home we did a short little review about next year's upcoming trips (even a quick chat about one special trip in 2017 - which I added something SO SUPER EXCITING TO...more about this on Travelin' Tuesday).
It's always so exciting for me to think about all that is on mycalendarand to also think and reflect back on all that I have already experienced!
Hence TBT gives me a day to share some of those stories with you...and believe me - I have LOTS!
San Francisco - circa 2007
So I'll get along with my day with hopefully as little interaction with the horse trainer as possible - but I tell ya one thing, she better not treat Cosette any differently or make her feel awkward in any way - because Momma (that's me) won't be having any of that! Then maybe a bit of shopping, and more classes for Dominic later on tonight (so maybe more book reading and inspiration)!
Also HERE is my TBT story, featuring Havasupai Falls and would you believe who got LOST?!
Havasupai - circa 2011
Don't forget to read all about Elisa's SCOOP, she went back to Sweet Janes...

Amazing Show & Great Treats
HELLO! HELLO! How are you doing today?
Last night at Mel & El's The Mommy Show... What a great night I had last night at this delightful and refreshing show!!
I didn't know what to expect other than what I had read on the Mel & El Website. But, I have to tell you, these two ladies have mega-talent! They are funny and the show itself combines hilarious songs that sum about just about every aspect of being a mom, a wife or a child of a mom! CLICK HERE to read my full review of The Mommy Show!!

Ice Cream at Sweet Janes... Well, after seeing "Mel & El", I thought it would be a real treat to go over to Sweet Jane's a few blocks from where the show was to get a scrumptious helping of ice cream!
Tanya and I visited Sweet Jane's for the first time back in November (2014) when she and the kiddies were in for Thanksgiving.
Everything offered at this adorable neighborhood sweetery is all natural and organic! They also offer a full selection of dairy-free ice "cream."
This visit, I got to meet Jane herself, scooping it up behind the counter! I indulged in Almond Joy ice cream which was TO DIE FOR!!! Just like the candy by the same name, the ice cream was filled with chocolate bits and coconut. Trust me, I savored every spoonful!
Check out my Throwback Foodie Friday story from back in November about Sweet Jane's.
