As Tanya is really on a roll today on her blog about her upcoming AMAZING European trips, I'm just enjoying living vicariously through her narrative!
This year has been a tough one as I'm transitioning in my personal life. So, under the circumstances, I have managed to plan a few things.
First, with the kids riding full time through July, I've decided to base myself out on Eastern Long Island and be a bit of a tourist in my own backyard.
Me and the girls are booked at a few local hotels which will be a great help in avoiding the daily two-hour drive back and forth, as well as give me a place to hang out while they are enjoying camp.
My plan is to visit some of the local wineries, museums and other points of interest for my enjoyment and your reading pleasure!
After four intense Long Island weeks, me and the girls will be headed for New Orleans for five days.
I'm very excited about this trip - I think it's going to be great fun!
Visiting the French Quarter, the French Market, The Audubon Aquarium of Americas and eating all those delicious beignets at the famous Cafe du Monde!

Next Spring will take us to London in celebration of Gianna's 13th Birthday.
That trip is still being finalized - the places we will visit; the itinerary as a whole. What I can tell you is that the theme will be overwhelmingly based on High Tea and enjoying it in a number of well-known places as well as some unexpected ones!
I'll share more of this next Tuesday!!
My hope is to squeeze in a few more trips here and there - weekend getaways and perhaps a trip to a world-famous theme park??? Stay tuned!!

Trips Trips & more Trips!
Well hello hello :)
Today is Travelin' Tuesday and I'm super stoked! You might be wondering why...
Yesterday I was able to secure booking the flights for our European Ski Circuit and Venetian Carnaval!
OMG this trip is going to be dreamy...
Now I know that it's hot out and the summer has only just begun, so it may be difficult but can you imagine all of the adorable and charming European villages all covered in a blanket of snow?
Picture a wonderful white winter fairytale or a magical winter wonderland. Picture the most perfect Christmas card or a snow-globe and picture stepping into it. That is where we will be!
From the snowy peaks of Mont Blanc in Chamonix to the iconic Matterhorn in Zermatt.

From the car free streets of Wengen to the oldest winter resort in the world of St. Moritz.
From Wengen to Grindelwald (c)travelincousins.com
From the slopes of Val d'Isere to Austria's famed St. Anton. And how could I possibly forget Cortina d'Ampezzo in the Dolomites where it has been said to be some of the most beautiful mountain landscapes anywhere!
Then when you think the trip is nearing an end, to top things off after all of our skiing adventures, we are heading to Venice. Ahhh Venice. And not only are we going to Venice, but we are going during Carnaval!!!!
So there ya have it - that is where we are spending part of out winter.
But for now let me give you an update as to upcoming trips that are happening a bit sooner!
Take a look:
Portland, Oregon in 4 days

Then a mini trip down to San Diego for the MLB All-Star Game and festivities in 12 days
Following that is a trip to Sin City (Las Vegas) in 18 days
Next is a camping trip up to Big Sur in 31 days
And in 49 days we had back to Europe for our Magical Anniversary trip to London - Paris - Luxembourg - Rome - Copenhagen - Edinburgh - the Scottish Highlands and a 175 mile cycling tour of the Outer Hebrides!
Now of course both you and I know that there is plenty more on the horizon, but I don't want to overwhelm you too much! Although something that we are very excited about is joining Elisa and the girls next Spring in London!!!
Now to pull in the reins just a bit...yesterday was choir rehearsal and there was also some planning talks about next years choir trip - back up to Couer d'Alene, Idaho where the kids will be recording another CD.

It's over a year away (July 2017) but my schedule is already quite tight (as I'm sure you realize).
Last night Cosette was also presented with her USA banner (it was an oversight that was suppose to happen at the year end ceremony).
Well folks, plenty more to do today and one of those things is trying to stay cool - it's suppose to hit the mid 90's this afternoon. And of course I've got to hit the gym and continue training!
I hope that some of my ideas have given you inspiration or at least something to look forward to as you follow me around the world and live vicariously through little 'ol me!
