Lots of Trip Progress!Hey there! Hope this is turning out to be a great week for you! Mine has been quite productive so far with trip planning! First, earlier in the week, working together with Tanya, we finalize our itinerary for both the Albuquerque and Taos segment of our New Mexico Road Trip. Then, I booked my rental car for my Italy Trip in August, as well as continuing to finalize tour details for Florence, Rome and Tuscan countryside with local tour guides in each of these cities respectively. And last but not least, I finally booked my airfare for New Mexico in October!! I had hoped that flights would dip low for this market, specifically to Albuquerque (I even tried for the surrounding area airports, including Santa Fe), but with Balloon Fiesta and more and more flights booking up, I decided I needed to just secure our tickets. My rate was not great, but not horrible either - $469 RT. And since I'm flying Southwest, a least there are no baggage fees or change fees if ever I needed to alter the flights. Please follow our weekly New Mexico Road Trip Blog on Travelin' Tuesdays! Have you checked out Tanya's upcoming trips? UK/Scandinavia and Iceland! Pretty exciting stuff - don't forget to check in regularly. Now, today, I am taking you waaaayyyy back for Throwback Thursday - all the way to 1989. I'm sure you will get a good laugh from the pictures , particularly the hairdos and outfits in Barbados and the Royal British Navy. I really had fun reminiscing and pulling out these old photos and remembering the silliness of being young! And so I will leave you with this thought today, -E | New Beginnings! It's a brand new day for everyone and a brand new beginning for others.. Our adorable Doves have been laying eggs for over a year - no nest and we bought them under the assumption that they were both females! Well, as of yesterday one of those eggs finally hatched! I guess we don't have 2 females after all! lol The new mama and papa have been doing a wonderful job of sitting on these eggs and now continuing a fabulous parenting job of cuddling and caring for their newborn! The adorable little chick 'Miracle' is a bit camera shy. So I was only able to take a photo of the parents nesting on top of the wee baby. As he/she grows more comfortable with the surroundings I will snap a few shots and keep you all posted on how he/she is doing! I'm gonna now go and read Elisa's story - Barbados and the Royal British Navy . I imagine it's going to be a real hoot! I also posted my weekend in Santa Barbara with tons of pics, so if you were curious about how that went, go check it out after reading the funny Throwback Thursday story! Hope you have a great day and meet us back here tomorrow for Foodie Friday! -T |
