The Weekend Has Arrived!
Howdy Howdy Howdy!
It's another Friday and the start to another weekend! Yippee!
This happens to be one of the few weekends that I'm not traveling, and I'm here home on the range.
If all goes as planned this weekend is set to be filled to the brim with some of the norm (classes and such), as well as pampering, parties, great food, great views, dinosaurs and many more surprises...
This is also the last weekend before I head out on several back to back trips over the summer...starting out with Elisa's and My European Trip!
My first stop will be in New York, where I'll get to see my dad and spend the day with my grandma.
Then off I go on my 13th trip of the year (I'm already at 71 days and counting!)...
And my first stop will be Oslo, Norway! More on this in the days to come....
Speaking of this first upcoming trip of the summer, I finally received all of the books (which I happened to order late & didn't order one for Oslo, or for Bratislava).
Let me tell you that I am so glad that I almost finished my entire packing list.
I still only have to finish the daily list for the Europe trip, but everything else is all done. However, the closer I get to being 100% complete and ready to go...
The more things I add to my "to do" list...as usual!
Today will be jam packed full from the early morning hours until wee hours of the night with taking Cosette to the stables to see Dream, and doing lots and lots of errands and shopping for the trip.
My little munchkin on Dream with Brigitte holding the lead rope, and me in the background (2003)
Once I'm hopefully finished with all that good stuff, then we'll be heading to grab some dinner and taking the kiddos to a special choir rehearsal before we go and catch a flick...plans are to go and see the Melissa McCarthy Comedy 'Spy'.
And let's not forget that with it being Friday, that only means one thing here at Travelin' Cousins...it's FOODIE FRIDAY!
This week is Elisa's turn to tempt our taste buds and our tummies with one of her tantalizing recent meals. Click HERE for the review
That about sums it up for today. I'll catch you back here tomorrow with all of today's scoop!

Another weekend Ahead!
Yay!! Friday and the weekend is here!!
This week had so many errands and things I needed to get done. The kids' finals are winding down and they only have 3 short days left!
What I'm really a little dismayed about is that originally today was supposed to be their last day of school. Because of snow days, the school year was extended until next Wednesday.
I had booked my trip to Eastern Europe with Tanya, based on today being the last day, so that I would have a good number of days to hang out with the kids and get them into their summer routine before I left.
Now, with the extended days, they will finish school next Wednesday and I'll be leaving for Prague that evening. I'm sure it will all be fine, but it's a little stressful.
Yesterday, Danielle and I drove into the city for our annual doctor's visit. We always go in together and try to make a little day of it.
After the appointment, we stopped at a favorite little eatery of our's on Madison Avenue, EAT, around the corner from the doctor's office.
It is a combination bakery-restaurant. The breads are wonderful, the salads are great and they have some amazing desserts too. The one negative folks, I will say, is they are very expensive.
But for our once a year jaunt, it's fine.
Did you check out Tanya's Side with her wonderful pictures of her travel books? Our European Trip will be her 13th trip of the year. I just can't keep up with her!!
Funny, Tanya is talking about SPY - I've wanted to see this all week!! I actually thought that I would be able to steal away today and grab a matinee showing of the movie.
I absolutely love Melissa McCarthy!! And Jason Statham is very easy on the eyes!!! I think I just may make it a point to see the movie over the weekend.
Here's the trailer for your viewing pleasure!!
Tonight I have a retirement cocktail party at the school for Gianna and Kelseys school principal. I'm totally psyched that the weather cleared up!
It was very rainy and icky this morning. I'm trying to decide if I want to wear a dress or dressy shorts and a top. I'll decide later based on how the weather and temps progress.
Don't forget to do your Father's Day Shopping - the big day is Sunday!!
As Tanya mentioned, today is indeed Foodie Friday!!! And yes folks, it's my turn to do a feature!
I'll be surprising you with one a little later. The days are slipping by with all my errands and activities. But, I'll post and re-link tomorrow.
Cannot believe there are only 5 days to Prague!!!!
