Hello World! I'm back in SoCal - got here yesterday and if you notice I'm heading out again tomorrow!
Actually our departure details were all arranged because of TODAY and today is the IPC (International Peace Choir) year end celebration ceremony and graduation.
We only have 1 graduate tonight and that happens to be my Dominic. So in essence the night is all about him - he is the guest of honor! More on this is a minute.
So after returning from Austin yesterday, I had much catching up to tend to as well as prep for today and for the upcoming trip.

I also had a bit of running around to do - but boy if I didn't it would be rather odd since I'm always running around. As they say life with Tanya is a whirlwind - but to tell ya the truth...
Life as Tanya is also usually a whirlwind. Sometimes it's difficult to even keep up with myself - and that's no joke!
Hence days when I mostly post a real picture heavy blog and am not quite so wordy. Because well - because I am definitely wordy! LOL
With our appetites being set 2 hours ahead of California we were rather hungry once we landed and immediately headed to breakfast at the Sunday only pop-up Wild Chive in Long Beach - which I've been dying to try.

And if was well worth the wait. So freakin good. Must go back soon! As I was eating I was thinking that maybe we could go back next Sunday!
Well you might realize that there is a bit of a problem with that... I will not be here next Sunday. Or the Sunday after. Or after that. So pretty much the next time that we can go back isn't until July 16th.
After brekkie we made a beeline to get home and bring some goodies back to the kids. It was at this point that I started attempting to catch up with myself. Meanwhile poor Dave (Birdwald Ponypants) had collapsed (after his whirlwind visit to Austin) for a nap - a really really L O N G nap (3+ hours)!
Let's just say that he passed out!!
Thinking that I had the afternoon pretty wide open until our plans of going to a few stores to pick up a few items/articles for the kids. I was pretty cool, calm and collected - albeit surprised because I don't usually have an open afternoon.
Then it hit me that I had an appointment for my main/pedi! Which I certainly was not going to miss!
And so off to the salon I went to get pampered.

Shopping was next. Whipping up a delish dinner of which I invited Matt to join us and then we all made our way to the movie theatre to see Wonder Woman!
Now considering that I had been awake since 2am PDT and the movie started at 9:30p I was hoping that I wouldn't use the dark theatre as a one way ticket to catch some Zzz's. Fingers were crossed that I was getting my 5th wind!
The movie was enjoyed by all, even Dave chuckled here and there. And jsyk (just so you know) I just may have nodded off for like 2 seconds!
And then climbed right under my comfy comforter planning to hit the sack ASAP. But I think I must have issues - because did I attempt to even close my eyes right away? NO.
Whatever, I still got a full nights sleep and think I'm all caught up from Austin and ready to begin burning my candle at both ends all over again!
Now back to today - Dominic's graduation from the choir he started in when he was a 6 years old little lad.

And it is now the end of an era. He seems pretty okay about it. Cosette is a bit depressed about it, and I'm hoping not to have an uncontrollable flow of tears streaming down my cheeks.
He has already been asked to come back as an assistant director or dance instructor. It's basically up to him. But from here on out he'll only be performing as alumni.
Even typing this is bringing tears to my eye. What the heck is wrong with my weak little eyes?! LOL
Catch ya'll tomorrow as we head out to the East Coast.
