Tanya's Daily Scoop CURRENTLY TRAVELING TO: VIRGINIA
On the Road yet AGAIN!
Well HELLO thereand welcome to another Sunday edition of Travelin' Cousins!
I hope that you've had a delightful week thus far and that you've been following along with all of our adventures, and shenanigans!
Yesterday started off with Dominic and I paying some good 'ol Wiffleball. He was out there playing around and I just couldn't resist joining in on the fun and smacking the ball around!
After a while we went over to Mel's Funway Park in Litchfield, NH to go play some mini-golf and since it's mini-golf my cousin thought that we should do the "difficult" course. It's mini-golf...how difficult can it be?
Well, it was me, the kids, my grandma and one of our cousins. We soon realized that the "difficult" course was no easy task and we really SUCKED!
Forget about pars, our scores were more like that of a basketball game than a game of mini-golf! How completely lame and embarrassing!
My cousin won, I surprisingly came in second, somehow my grandma came in third, and the kids took the last places... It was really no surprise that Cosette was last, as she got frustrated a few times on the course, throwing in the towel and asking for the maximum number of strokes allowed (which was 7 per hole).
Anyhow, we all had fun and I think we tired out my grandma. YIKES
Then on the drive back to Bedford, the kids were quite eager to get back and get in the pool!
They also knew that there was a slew of cousins at the house who had arrived while we were out, and I know that they really wanted to hang out and play! And I really don't blame them.
Holy Smokes - It sure turned out be a wild and crazy night with this bunch of kids!
And now as for today, my little gang of 3 is hitting the road once again.
Time for some Road Trippin'!!!
We've already drove over 3k miles, and through Canada as well as 7 states including: New York, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Vermont, Ohio, Pennsylvania, and West Virginia. And this morning we started our 10hr journey to Chesapeake, Virginia - our last stop before heading back to New York and to JFK for our flight back to San Diego, CA next Wednesday. At which point I think I'll be glad to take a bit of a break from being behind the wheel. Whew!
That's all I got for today folks.
Come back tomorrow and hear about today as I come to you LIVE from Chesapeake, VA!
Ciao 4 now, -T
Elisa's Daily Scoop NEXT TRIP IN SEPTEMBER
A big HI! to you today. Happy Sunday!!!
So, officially it's Sunday; just a little early...that's right folks, I'm writing you at 2:30AM. Well, let me back track...
Yesterday evening, I started dozing around 6:30pm in my den. Our here in Remsenburg, it is so quiet and peaceful and I just decided to sit on my couch to relax after a very long bicycle ride.
Tedd grilled the kids up some hot dogs and I was too tired to even eat. Next thing I knew, I was starting to doze, so I decided to take a "nap" upstairs in my bedroom.
The next thing that happened was that I awoke at 1:45AM. Wow, I must have been super exhausted. I think I told you I needed some rest this weekend!!
I think you will find from my blog post yesterday, my tiredness spurred on a "deep, reflective" overpowering mood. But I"m already feeling back to my usual upbeat self after a long "nap."
I'm sure another four or five hours and I'll be as right as rain for the day and the week ahead.
Not much excitement on my end this week, sadly. It's one of those weeks that I have to tend to household maintenance. I had mentioned a few weeks back that I had a leak from my master bathroom that resulted in a nice big hole in my living room ceiling.
So, for the pat month and a half, I've had this eyesore right when you walk into my house. Well, the source of the leak in behind the marble tile wall on the same side as the shower head in my shower.
While I was in Europe on my rail trip with Tanya, the glass shower doors were removed and now, I have the plumbers coming tomorrow (Monday) to first destroy the tile work so they can fix the leak.
The good news is the leak will be repaired. The bad news is that I have to have the tile replaced and repaired after the plumber does the work. So, Monday, I need to visit some tile outlets to find the same white marble that is in my bathroom. Let's hope that after 15 years, I can scrounge up enough to replace the area destroyed.
Did you read about Tanya's fun day at mini golf yesterday? Today, she is headed down to Virginia, on the road until she departs on Wednesday out of New York back to the west coast and home.
Well folks I managed to get a little more shut eye after my middle of the night blog fest writing in the first segment of my Daily Scoop today!
I did wake up early and get up and out. A nice power walk. Off to the bagel store to pick up some breakfast for everyone and then a bike ride.
I'll be heading back to Nassau this afternoon to spend some time with my sissy poo. Another relaxing day by the pool.
I am sending a little sunshine to a friend who's dad passed a year ago. So sad but I'm sure he's right there by my friend's side every day feeling proud.
