NEW LOOK FOR TRAVELIN' COUSINS WEBSITE!!Hello!! I just know that this week is going to be a great one! The first major news is that Travelin' Cousins website has a new look!!! Tanya and i are so excited about this!! We hope you like it too!! Please bear with us as many of our photo slide shows were affected when we changed our look, so bear with us as we fill them up with travel and food pictures over the next few days. So many fun things on the calendar this week. Today is my husband Tedd's 60th birthday. HAPPY BIRTHDAY TEDD!! We have some fun plans to celebrate, starting with a dinner at his favorite restaurant, Uncle Jack's. It's a great steak house which is why he loves it so much. Yes, Tedd is a carnivore, as opposed to his mostly vegetarian wife! But, as everyone knows , steak houses have some of the best vegetable sides, so I'll be in good shape. I'll be posting pictures tomorrow of the big dinner!! Today, I'm so happy to be posting my article Three Ladies and A Gentleman's Guide to Love and Murder, about my latest Broadway show adventure last week! As Mondays go, it will be a fairly mellow day until our big dinner later on. Tanya will be arriving back in New York tonight! Cannot wait to see the whole gang tomorrow! What a big day planned together! First, a trip to Dun Well Donuts in Brooklyn for those world famous vegan donuts. I've got my heart set on the donut sundae regardless of the fact that we will be going first thing in the morning!! A trip to the pool in Garden City later in the day and then a reunion dinner with my mom and dad (the first time for Tanya in over 30 years!) Tomorrow is also Travelin' Tuesday, so we will be posting Part 10 of Tanya & Elisa's New Mexico Road Trip. The focus on this installment is all the sites we will be stopping at along the way from Albuquerque to Taos - can't wait!! I'm also going to post my feature about my cooking class with my little chef, Gianna at the A La Carte Cooking school in Lynbrook this past Saturday! With the Travelin' Cousins together this week, there just aren't enough hours in the week to do things!!! Wednesday we all go see Aladdin together - yes - the whole Cousin bunch which will include me and my girls, Danielle & her boys and Tanya and her kids! Fun Fun Fun!!! And Thursday night a trip to the Little Italy in the Bronx for a delicious, Italian meal together. So, be sure you stay tuned - we will also be tweeting our fun days this week quite often so stay in touch!! Yesterday, we spent the whole day at the pool enjoying sides, bouncy obstacle courses and island sounds of a steel drum! Our group included Kelsey's friend, Eileen and my nephew Nolan (Julian couldn't make it). The kids must have gone down the slide at least 50 times and I attempted to get some color on my mozzarella-white legs!! We ended the day with a trip to Baskin Robbins(R) to celebrate National Ice Cream Day!!! Did you know that the flavor of the month is Oreo and Cake Batter? That is precisely what Gianna, Kelsey, Nolan and I ordered. Rebecca went with an old classic - Rocky Road. It was so delicious!!! Remember - although yesterday was National Ice Cream DAY - the entire month of July is National Ice Cream month - so eat up and enjoy!! Happy Monday Peeps!! -E | The start of a brand new fun filled week!Heading over to Fenway first thing this morning, as we are going to take a tour of this historic ballpark! I may not be a fan of the Red Sox, but I definitely luv the history of this landmark stadium! Since tickets for the tours are only sold on the day of and that it's first come first serve, we want to be there nice and early to not miss the boat! Next we'll be heading to the Boston Museum of Science, this will be a long awaited visit, as we were suppose to go 16 years ago, and this will actually be my first time! Long story there.. Yesterday was a hit! We went to the Red Sox vs Royals game (Boston shut Kansas City), strolled the city, going to the Public Gardens, Boston Commons, Cheers (inspired bar), and various historic sites. Of course not forgetting to indulge in Ice Cream for National Ice Cream Day! Many warm birthday wishes to Tedd on his big 60th! We look forward to getting together with everyone once we are back in New York! As Elisa has mentioned, we have lots of fun Travelin' Cousins events planned for this week! On top of even more visiting and another baseball game! Know what I say? BRING IT ON! Hope you're kicking off the beginning of your week with a bang! And please tell me that you've been checking our other outlets of social media??? Lots of interesting posts going up everyday! B4N (bye for now), -T |
