A big apology for being MIA this weekend. I kid you not that I was out and about doing household stuff from dawn to dusk.
I know it's no excuse, but with the kiddies at their dad's this weekend, I did not want to waste a moment of time.
Thank goodness, our blog is a two-person effort and we are able to fill in the gaps for one another. These days, it's Tanya filling in more for her dear cousin more than the other way around! Thanks cuz!
It was sooo good to see my little girlies yesterday. 36 hours away and it felt like too much!
We went to the movies last night to see Ghostbusters. It was really great! I loved the first one, which is a classic...but, the new one was fantastic!!!
The cast was fantastic and Kristen Wiig and Melissa McCarthy had amazing chemistry! There were also a mess of cameos by the original Ghostbusters' cast and it had a quick pace with lots of witty humor! I HIGHLY recommend it!
I haven't been to a movie in a while that the audience was clapping, laughing and screaming throughout. Great night!!
Today, the kids head back to the barn for a short week of riding.
The girls are headed for a super fun 24 hours! Their day started off with carpooling with their friends for camp and then afterwards, they will have a sleepover at their friends.
They were so stoked!!
Tomorrow is my turn to drive the four girls and spend the day out east.
I'm not sure what I'll be doing - most likely hanging out at Tanger Outlets and do some shopping for the girls - they both need a few items for the new school year, such as socks and accessories.
So, what do you think of my gorgeous hydrangeas?! They really came up lovely this season!!!
I'm about to do more organization and hauling around the house today. I organized all my books, and 7 years worth of kids' school memorabilia! All nice and neat in boxes.
I also made a pile of old toys for the poor, however, there is no way I am going to part with their legos!!! I love legos too. They are in very neat bins and will do not take up much space.
Lastly, I finally put all my scrapbooks together, categorized by occasion and child!
It's amazing how much you can get accomplished if you do a little each day. I'm a firm believer in "the compound effect." This concept is actually the title of book by Darren Hardy, who is also the visionary force behind SUCCESS magazine, its Publisher and Founding Editor.
It happens to be one of my all-time favorite books and I strongly suggest it since its principles are applicable to anything in life!
The Compound Effect is an extraordinary operating system that shows how small, smart choices, plus consistency, plus time, equal a radical difference in ones life.
The premise is that by exploring our choices, habits, momentum and influences, we can achieve anything over time!
On that note, I'm off to do a little more organizing!
And as Tanya and gang are livin' it up in Las Vegas this week, DO be sure to catch her review today!!!
See ya back here tomorrow!

Howdy folks! Happy Monday to you!
Another great weekend down in the books.

Heading to dinner (c)travelincousins.com
Yesterday happened to be National Ice Cream Day, and although I didn't have any ice cream, what I did have was a refreshing and delicious Mirtelli for dessert which was topped with a Coconut Sorbeto - not sure if it counts, but it was sure good!

After dinner, we went back to our resort and up to our room...once I opened the door I laid my eyes upon a beautiful bouquet of flowers. So pretty!
And then I looked up and realized that I totally missed and stepped over a trail of rose pedals!!
Awww I got surprised! (c)travelincousins.com
I was just oblivious and felt so incredibly silly to not have seen them as I stepped foot in your room!

As far as today goes, I need to hit the gym (hope I'm not too tired from the weekend), I've got another acupuncture appointment this afternoon (which I might be bound to nap during the session), the kids have choir rehearsal this evening - did I mention that they got accepted to perform at Disneyland!!! They are STOKED!
While they are at rehearsal, I've got my first IPC board meeting (as president), and lastly after rehearsal and the board meeting we are going to pick up one of the kids friends and bring him to our house for a sleepover.
The fun just never ends!
But today's blog does. I'll see you back here tomorrow!
