The Camera Eats First
Happy Monday to you! I'm pretty sure that we are all packed up and ready freddy to go!
The only thing left to do is pick up my skis. I am sitting by phone just awaiting the call and then off I go to REI.
Later on tonight the kids have rehearsal and while they are singing and dancing, Dave and I will bop on over to the car rental agency to pick up a vehicle for Dave to use while we take the 4runner on our 2,400 mile journey.
Yesterday Dave and I went to a late brunch at Mead's Green Door - which has become our local Sunday go to! It got me wondering why-o-why haven't I ever featured them on Foodie Friday?!
As the saying goes...
'Camera Eats First' is the behavior and global phenomenon of people taking photos of their meals with digital or smartphone cameras before they eat, mostly followed by uploading the photos to the social media. The term refers to how people feed their cameras first by taking photos before eating themselves.
I've been taking pictures of my food for years and on just about every visit. So yesterday was really no different - but I did make it a point to be sure to also snap a few that weren't just of my food! LOL

So you know what to expect as a new FOODIE FRIDAY feature in the upcoming months. But don't wait around for me... Go try it out for yourself!

Meanwhile, the kids were busy not wanting to be busy, knowing that I will be keeping them busy nonstop for the next couple of weeks. So they enjoyed staying at home and just chilling out.
Cosette decided to brush out her braids and shocked us all!
While I know this was the result of her braided hair. But could she possibly be getting my crazy hair???

Since I've been typing away, I did receive a call from REI. The heels are out for delivery and I'll get another call once the skis are ready to be picked up! WHEW.
Catch everyone back here tomorrow, -T

25 Reasons to Visit Long Island in Winter
Hope you had a great weekend!! This week started off on fire.
First of all, Gianna started to deteriorate yesterday with a scratchy threat and stuffy nose. By the time she went to sleep, she was coughing. In the middle of the night, Kelsey woke up with a cough, stuffy nose and scratchy throat.
Cut to this morning. Gianna looked and sounded awful but insisted on going to school as it is the beginning of Catholic School's Week and the 8th Grade Prayer Service was first thing this morning.

I had Kelsey stay home, in hopes of a day of rest helping her to recover for the Math Bee tomorrow. But, as I was enjoying the Prayer service, I got a text from my little one "Mom, I took my temperature and it said 101."
Alrighty then, so much for school tomorrow.
Gianna looked awful when I saw her at school. But, she wanted to stay to take her math test. Guess what I'll be doing all afternoon - taking care of Kelsey, making chicken soup and serving gallons of the lemon mixture above!
Well, back to travel-related news! Since today is Monday again, I'm happy to present you guys with another feature from Elisa's Long Island and Travelin' 25:
